But he was however taken by surprise when he had returned with an unconscious Nena in tow - he had heard about it of course, but it had completely slipped his mind that Ryuuken had actually left to get her back. Not that it was too surprising, but still... Isshin had to admit that he had been somewhat taken aback. "Why are you glad?" She frowned at him. She had stolen a plane of the ship, after all. She wasn't even considering the fact that he may have known about why she'd left in the first place. Because there was no person on this continent that would feel positively towards her continued existence, should they know the truth.
No sane person, at any rate.

…Well, maybe the answer to that wasn’t quite so critical. But it would still be nice to know. She was sure that she’d missed enough as it was already.

"How could you say that now, Trinity-chan?!" the doctor started with a fair amount of (somewhat fake) shock in his voice. "Don't say that you don't need it - everyone needs a bit of love and concern!" It was a fact that Isshin believed in strongly - everyone needed that bit of concern and care to show that they mattered, that they did have a place in this world. Nobody was never not needed; somewhere, someplace, there was that special someone who would need them, even if they both would never know it until the time came. To say that one wasn't needed... it was almost blasphemous, really.
