Millie was bored.

She'd already turned in her paperwork at Headquarters, restocked all of her emergency supplies, gotten Little Meg a bigger sling, gotten a new sling for her gun, and even gotten herself a brand new duster!

But that left her with nothing to do except walk around the city, looking for something to do.

She had just past the roasted chestnuts vendor when she spotted a young woman in a wheelchair, trying to climb a hill. "Excuse me! Do you need help?"

"Huh?"

Sekai had made one mistake when she turned towards the voice, blinking her eyes in surprise.

...She stopped trying to roll.

So that was probably why she was starting to move backwards (luckily with her hands out of the way of getting caught in the wheels), down the hill she had worked so hard to climb.

"AAACK!"

...Oops.

Dropping her chestnuts, Millie ran over to the girl, stopping the wheelchair before it could overturn. "Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to distract you! Are you alright?" She looked at the girl, worried.

Sekai gave her a small laugh. No harm, no foul, right?

She gave a little scratch of her head.

"Hey, don't worry about it. It happens. I'm still getting used to this thing--haven't used it in a city before."

Yeah. She was totally not looking like an idiot right now. Nope. Not her. Noooope.

"Though I should be the one who's apologizing! I didn't mean to startle you."

AND BY "ONE OF THESE DAYS" YOU COULD MEAN "TODAY," AMIRITE karmauberalles November 25 2009, 22:58:33 UTC
As von Karma walked back from Parliament, he wondered if he should even bother heading there every day to see if there was any more information on the prince's kidnapping. Those incompetents couldn't gather information if it was laid out in front of them in a neat, orderly fashion.

He stormed down the hill, and the sheer force of his rage practically parted the crowds in front of him-at least, he hoped it would, anyway. He didn't want to deal with any shoving, although he would if he had to.

Sekai wasn't about to move, but that was more because she couldn't quite part to another direction, not with her strain of just moving the wheelchair. She'd grown used to it on the ship, but ships had ramps, and things that were at least wheelchair-friendly. But on streets, this bulky thing took up so much room.

She couldn't wait until she got OUT of this thing.

But as it stands, even with the strange old man raging towards her, Sekai couldn't quite move out of the way.

No, instead he was coming right for her. And she had no means in which to move to the side.

Crap.

von Karma paused in front of the girl in the wheelchair. Surely she'd get out of his way, wouldn't she?

Any time now.

She gave him a sort of pathetic look, struggling to move ahead.

She couldn't exactly move to the side, though she was trying not to move forward...

"Um...I can't really..."

He finally managed to leave the ship for a while, to clear out his head and be alone for once. With William deciding to go back home, along with Pip heading back to whatever he needs to be, Grell was a bit restless. He doesn't like it when close people just suddenly had to go. First Etna, then Kara, but she left a note and he wrote back of course, and now these two.

His attention shifted to a struggling wheelchair, trying to scale up the hill. Grell recognizes that certain person in it. He quickly ran up behind the chair, grabbing a hold onto the handles to support it. "I think you will need some assistance, dear. This hill is too nasty for just a pair of wheels~"

Where they'd found crutches for someone of Vole's height was quite a mystery. The fact that he was actually using them was even more miraculous. Still banged up more than he'd like to admit from the fight with the 4423, the Major was hoping to be back in the air soon. Until then, however, there was a new uniform to commission, now that one of the old ones was ruined.

He was on his way to the tailor's when he noticed the girl in the wheelchair. At least, he thought, he wasn't stuck in something like that. Amused for the moment by the young lady's struggle, he leaned back on his crutches, a cruel smile on his face.
