While the Quartermaster wasn't exactly a jobs-worth, he did not like to be stuck in one location for longer than necessary. He was something of a wanted man with two different and unrelated groups of people potentially on his trail, so staying in one place did not sit well with him, especially when it was almost entirely down to people shirking their work. As for any kind of courtesy due a higher-ranked crew member, the notion didn't even occur to her. Between the antisocial captain and the nonexistent first mate, the 4423 was notoriously low on any kind of oversight, and Jenka wasn't the type to bother with rules and hierarchies if she wasn't given a very good reason to. Sure, she did her job - usually, at least - but that didn't translate to actually respecting the people who were supposedly giving her orders.
