Marluxia was unimpressed with the handling of the repairs so far. Since the ship had been grounded there was little the crew could do but get onto the repairs and even this seemed to be extremely slow going. Why? Because some of the crew were missing in action, shopping ("But it's not our job to do repairs, we're not paid for that!") or laid up in bed, apparently ill from phantom food poisoning or some such rubbish.

While the Quartermaster wasn't exactly a jobs-worth, he did not like to be stuck in one location for longer than necessary. He was something of a wanted man with two different and unrelated groups of people potentially on his trail, so staying in one place did not sit well with him, especially when it was almost entirely down to people shirking their work. As such, he had made a small list of people to seek out, to see exactly why they weren't contributing to the repair work. He was within his rights to, after all.

One of the people on his list of shirkers to punish was Jenka, the female Jager who wasn't the scary medic ( ... )

"Qviet!" she snapped reflexively, clapping her hands over her ears. Hell that made her head hurt! Loud noises were very close to the top of the list of Jenka's least favorite things right now.

In the hopes of preventing whoever was out there from making that horrid noise again, she added after a moment: "Vot hyu vant?"

Marluxia's eyes narrowed sharply at the barked command and a smirk spread over his lips. She was certainly going to be in trouble for that. He didn't like being ordered around, especially by a lower crew member and especially when he was there to see her about duties not being performed.

He didn't answer. Instead he pushed the door open and walked in, giving the woman an immediate glare.

For a man with pink hair, he had the ability to look more than a little nasty.

Jenka, automatically, glared right back. Not that she had anything in particular against Marluxia - she just wasn't in the habit of giving up ground before she even knew what they were fighting about.

"Vell?" His expression made her curious, at least. Few people had the spine to glare at a Jägermonster. She didn't recall getting on his nerves in the recent past - in fact, she didn't recall any significant interactions with him since that time he first showed up. So what did he want?

As for any kind of courtesy due a higher-ranked crew member, the notion didn't even occur to her. Between the antisocial captain and the nonexistent first mate, the 4423 was notoriously low on any kind of oversight, and Jenka wasn't the type to bother with rules and hierarchies if she wasn't given a very good reason to. Sure, she did her job - usually, at least - but that didn't translate to actually respecting the people who were supposedly giving her orders.
