I... IDK. Which ever you guys want? |D thedevilsmile September 28 2009, 14:14:48 UTC
At that moment Kristoph had been around the docks, having returned after having went into the nearby town in order to purchase a few things for himself and the office. For all its... unique charm and rather unforgettable customs, the quartermaster was quite inclined to say that Erealia was quite the charming place - if one put aside many of the politics that centred around pretty much the whole place in general.

The man sighed at that thought, shaking his head slightly even as he walked. Really, it seemed that no matter where you were one could never really escape from that thing called politics. Everywhere one went, there was always that struggle, that silent battleground of clashing thoughts and passions. It was slightly poetic, but for the most part it was nothing but irony and cruel reality working in tandem.

Still deep in his thoughts, Kristoph didn't notice anyone as he made his way back towards the ship and would possibly be taken by surprise if anyone approached him there and then.

Caught quite by surprise at the voice that had abruptly intruded into his train of thought, Kristoph couldn't help but jerk a little in surprise when the vision of a fine young noble sudden appeared before him. The events of the Badlands still did haunt him a bit, so the quartermaster was prone to such... sudden behaviour from time to time. It had gotten better, of course - as it should have, really.

There was a moment of pause as the officer heard the other's question and mulled over it (had he seen any young girls recently? Not really.) for a but before eventually responding. "Apologies, but I haven't. You are searching for her, I take it?"

From the other man's reaction, the younger assumed that he had caught him by surprise. But while the abrupt 'greeting' might have gotten an imitation of an apology out of Cain at any other time, he instead responded with a curt nod followed by another glance down the street.

"Yes. Wandered off by herself, I'm afraid." He was careful not to say too much, but on the other hand, it would be helpful if he could at least garner a clue as to what direction she'd taken.

After receiving the message from the king, von Karma delivered orders via journal and started back to the docks. He supposed he could be thankful that their stay in Erealia had been uneventful, the discovery of the bomb aside, however... this would surely be a nuisance. Hopefully he wouldn't be required to interact with the unfortunately named prince.

That would be far too annoying for words.

In any case, he wasn't paying much attention to his surroundings other than to make sure he didn't step in anything disgusting.

Oops, people could see her like this. She couldn't let anyone important see her. And that older man starting to walk towards the ship looked important. Mary ducked behind a few barrels, glancing around before darting across the very large deck, her skirts a splash of color amongst the stately image of the Victoria II.

Where could she go next? The deck was just full of sweaty seamen, some giving her odd looks at her appearance here, and others ignoring or not seeing her at all.

Perhaps there would be something more interesting below decks.

von Karma headed up the deck and-

...what the hell was that? Something-or, rather, someone-had darted across the deck, and it certainly wasn't anyone he recognized. Damned lack of peripheral vision on one side-he turned slightly, but by the time he managed to get the area that had been in his blind spot, it was gone.

He did have a general idea of where it had one, though...

The area below deck was a little dark, but Mary curiously made her way down, glancing around. It was a little tight, but airships like this probably had to make them that way. It was a nice long hallway for her to run down to stretch her legs though. The blonde girl walked the whole length of the corridor, then debated if she should go deeper. She didn't want to stay too long...even if she was upset with Cain, he was probably worried about where she was.

That was that then. Decision made, Mary started heading back up to the deck.

edit: whichever you want! Though Phoenix could always use a young girl sidekick... isntthatwright September 29 2009, 02:15:37 UTC
Phoenix dashed up the gangplank, breathing hard. Whew, I made it, he thought. He'd been talking to people in Erealia (and finding something to send to Wolfina; he knew full well that she would have his skin if he visited Erealia and didn't give her anything) and time had gotten away from him.

Only when he was on the ship did he slow to a walk, calming his pounding heart. As fine as Erealia was, Phoenix did not want to be stuck there, no sir. A visit was quite enough for him, thanks.

She only got a brief chance to look around the place, but she did accidentally bump into one of the people on board. "Ah, sorry!" She gave him a quick smile before hurrying downstairs, hoping he hadn't recognized her. Or rather...not recognized her-- he would know she wasn't a part of this ship if that was the case.

"Ooof!" He reeled back a little, taking a second to recover from the impact. Phoenix looked at her--was she okay? She sure seemed to be, if her continued energy was anything to go by. "S-sorry about that," he apologized --

--and suddenly, she wasn't there. "Hey!" he called after her as she went down the stairs to one of the lower decks. "Hey, wait! Where're you going?" he called. It was only a question; it was obvious from his tone that he wasn't trying to throw her out (and certainly didn't have the authority to do so!), he only wanted to know.

Is okay bb :> ms_marycontrary October 7 2009, 02:19:27 UTC
Uh-oh. He didn't recognize her, so that meant he knew she wasn't supposed to be here. "Ah, just looking around!" she chirped before hurrying down below. She wasn't sure if he was going to catch her or not, and she didn't want to risk it.

Not that it mattered, since von Karma would catch her soon enough.
