After second collapse 8D sekaitoonajide September 4 2009, 03:19:44 UTC
She loved her job, she really did. She loved her life, and the excitement and the idea of going into the world and seeing things for what it was outside of the stories she'd heard at work from other travelers ( ... )

Even if Abe couldn't shit bricks, he was very near to doing so. His eyes bulged and an eyebrow twitched in awe, startlement, disgust, and general WHAT THE SHIT at the sight.

Damn, he had long arms. And did he say punched a hole in the mountain? Then what the hell were they doing caved in, then, if they had a brute like this one around?

"What the hell are you?" he eventually managed to demand, but came to at Sekai's pained gasp. "And don't you put any weight on that, it might kill her!"

"I'm not!!" the powder monkey immediately objected back as he tightened his grip on the rock. Really, all he was trying to do was to help--! "I'm just going to--woaaaaaah!" Losing his own centre of gravity for a moment, the teenager yelped as he tumbled down backwards, large rock in his arms right down onto the ground.

...he only continued to hold the rock even after the dust had cleared from his fall, but the only expression on the teenager's face was a mild look of surprise.

Going to class--will be back at about 3-ish, maybe earlier! sekaitoonajide September 4 2009, 16:00:57 UTC
That was...

That was amazing.

It was wonderful to breathe. Her chest felt light, though it hurt horribly, and even if it stung and felt like someone was stabbing her everytime she took a breath she took several deep, long ones...

Air. AIR!

Letting out a gasp, Sekai started coughing, and she moved in an attempt to sit up, at least a little--

--and she let out a cry and went right back down.

That was-- Did he just---? But the rock was no longer here but there, so surely the kid had indeed moved it. Abe blinked away his surprise and refrained from shying away from the guy. Instead, he turned to the girl -- their top priority -- and...

"You idiot!" he thundered at her, forgetting to keep his voice low. "You're going to make your injuries worse! Here, spit," he snapped, rummaging around his pockets for a rag and putting it to her mouth. "Keep your breathing shallow and stable, and we'll see to your legs."

Or, well, the guy would see to the rocks on her legs. Abe was already prodding gently around Sekai's ribs and chest to see if she had broken anything. Her pain was already a clear indication of that, but he needed something a little more specific, if they were going to move her.

Meanwhile, Luffy only continued to blink blankly at what he had just done since it hadn't quite registered into his brain yet. It was only when Abe got himself busy tending to Sekai's wounds then did the powder monkey finally realise what was going on - and the fact that he was still holding the rock to his chest, mainly because of how his arms were just a bit tangled up.

As the other fussed over the injured girl, the powder monkey himself work on getting back his arms properly. It took a bit, but eventually he hmanaged to let go and used one of his now free hands to push the rock off from his chest. That done, the teenager sat back up properly and looked between the other two. "So, are you guys alright?" he asked, as if nothing weird had happened at all in the last few minutes.

"Do I *LOOK* okay?!" Sekai wanted to snap, but it was hard with the rag in her mouth. Though maybe he was just trying to distract the two of them...

Or maybe he was really that dense. But come on, now, nobody was that bad. Besides, it wasn't exactly a good thing to think about something like that in this sort of situation anyway.

Her voice unable to come out, she nodded her head in response to his comment.

"As alright as I'm going to be."

Was something wrong with the weird kid? He looked surprised, which was something that only Abe and Sekai should be in this situation. "Sup with you?" he asked irritably.

When Sekai was done cleaning her mouth or whatever, Abe folded the handkerchief down and put it away where it wouldn't make a mess. They'd probably need it later. "We still need to free her legs and move her out of here. The three of us are going to freeze to death if we don't."

Another blink of surprise. "What's up with me?" he echoed, rather confused as to what the question was asking. As far as he knew, he was being as he always was - himself. There wasn't anything wrong with him at all.

But anyway, there were much more important things at hand - one of them being removing the rock at Sekai's feet. The powder monkey moved over to where it was, leaning close once again to look at the weight that was crushing her limbs. It wasn't too big or anything... he should be able to manage it as well.

Thus without another word, he got his limbs moving again and moved the rock properly this time.
