The hard part about keeping the planes protected was keeping your stomach satisfied. Truth be told, Sougo's been having an appetite lately. Possibly because of the heat, or the lack of anything to really do than sit and stand all day and watch their damn planes.

Hence, he found himself in front of this stall that seemed to have drawn crowds during lunch. Not a lot of people stood there now, so he had the luxury to come forward, look down at those lunches, and choose one to his liking.

"Excuse me, I want the Pink Princess Salmon Bento please."

There must have been a military ship or two in port. So many old faces and old flames... and it was both a blessing and a curse that she could still remember each one.

"Sure thing, Sougo," she replied, giving him a heavenly smile as she looked at him with her low-lidded, 'good' eye. He probably hadn't realized she was here, but she was already fully confident that he wouldn't be able to forget Ichinotani Kyouka very easily. Unless he was even more of a brat than she had realized.

He was caught by surprise at that voice that he snapped his head back up, surprised if not... he really couldn't put his hands on it.

It was as though she had not changed at all.

Unfortunately, she had changed. Even if time had been exceptionally kind to her, there was a critical difference between then and now... one that meant she would be far crueler to the young officer than before.

For now, though, she maintained her warm, charming tone. "What's wrong, rookie? Is your tongue is sticking to the roof of your mouth?"

When The Winding Way had landed, Vyse had only just woken up after his boat crashed. Still, Vyse couldn't refuse leaving the ship and exploring the area, gaping at all the airships and then proceeding to look through the stalls in the makeshift town.

He stopped at Angel's stall, looking curiously at the Bentos she'd prepared. He'd never seen anything like it, food make up as pictures. Needless to say he was impressed.

"These are amazing." He said with a smile. "Do they take long to make?"

Angel smiled up sweetly, setting down the bento she was working on. "Not as long as you might think, actually. That is, with enough practice."

She stood up so she could better face the man. Not someone she recognized, and maybe a little young for her tastes... but she used her sweetest and most inviting voice anyway. That scar on his face looked like it had a story behind it, and she loved to make people talk.

"Would you like to try one?"

Vyse was completely oblivious to any hint that she might be trying to pry information out of him, the new exciting food in front of him was more important. That and Vyse was never the best at judging peoples' intentions. He always believed there was some good in people, unless they outwardly showed otherwise.

"Of course!" He said excitedly in response.

"They're five doubloons apiece." She paused, and added innocently, "Or seven, if you prefer to pay in francs."

Which was an unusual difference, because the doubloon was only worth slightly more than the franc.

Souji's adventure through the food stalls eventually led him to the Lunchland booth, and his nose was in heaven. The tea was what caught his attention at first. He normally wasn't a tea man, but he could appreciate it once and awhile. Then the scents of rice and veggies and grilled meat... oh it was heaven.

The young helmsman walked over, his normally dull gray eyes sparkling with a need usually only seen in the bedroom... or various public restrooms, knowing Souji.

The tea did have that sort of effect on people. After all, when they pre-infused the leaves with steam before brewing, the tea had an exquisite aroma and a rich flavor, as though they had brewed it for a long time. It was the kind of tea that even tea haters would find heavenly.

Angel smiled sweetly at him. She was well-acquainted with that sort of look, though it made her wonder if this guy was looking for a different sort of meal. Hopefully he wouldn't get his hopes up too much. He looked young, even for her tastes.

But even if he was, that sort of interest was exploitable. There were a lot of stupid young men who would do just about anything if you smiled at them the right way. With a low-lidded eye and a seductive smirk, she greeted, "Good afternoon. Are you hungry?"

Oddly, though Souji appreciated a fine woman as much as then next hot-blooded young teen, her seductive smile didn't seem to affect him much. In fact, his eyes were glued to the bento boxes she was serving. They reminded him of the ones he made with Nanako, and his lust expression softened a bit with memory.

"Yes... they look very good."

Ah, so he really was that hungry. Well, that was fine, too. Honestly, in many ways Angel preferred feeding an empty stomach over dealing with other appetites.

"Then please, take any one you like. Or if you've got another order in mind, let me know, and I'll make one special for you."
