Once Lelouch's amethyst eyes focused on the sole figure within the kitchen, it took nary a second to recognize him as the Victoria's chef, Francis Bonnefoy. He was preparing a duck for a meal -- presumably, for he preferred not to consider another reason as to why the man extended his hands into a piece of poultry -- and the moment he spoke, he could instantly note two factors. Not only did it hold pieces of another language, apropos to his surname, but he recognized his voice as the one over the network ( ... )

Lelouch patiently waited for Francis to finish washing his hands and cleaning off the counters, allowing his eyes to finish devouring the rest of the kitchen in the meantime. Pristine, expansive, and definitely befitting of a ship like the Victoria II. It was also likely an area he'd be spending most of his time.

As Francis addressed him once more, Lelouch shifted his gaze back towards him, briefly flashing him a warm smile. "I'd certainly appreciate it."
