Raidou, in the meantime, had completed his circuit and was coming back around to the common hangar, to see how things were going. He stopped, however, at a deserted corner, to release Nekomata from her tube.

"Watch over the area. I want to relieve some of the people here on duty."

"Anything for you, dahling~"

The boy detective looked on, a little ruefully, as the feline demon slinked away. He then continued along, approaching the Disreputable Dog.

"How are things?"

"Things are progressing in the normal manner of...things," the Dog said, in a conversational tone, pricking her ears up at Raidou's approach.

"That is to say," she carried on, blithely, "things keep happening, but not things that I can see are bad things, so most things are...yes, we'll say good, shall we?"

"I see."

The Dog had a most peculiar way of speaking. Oddly, Raidou was not bothered by the fact that it could speak at all - he had seen stranger things.

"Would you like to take a break? If things are secure here, perhaps it is in order."

The Dog could perfectly well speak normally when she felt like it, but she was in a facetious mood, and had a lot more desire to chat than she had things to talk about, hence the longwindedness.

She grinned up at Raidou at his offer of a break. "As far as I can tell they are secure, so if that's alright, I would like to." As soon as she had permission, she'd be off like a shot, unless Raidou wanted to start a conversation - she wasn't one to shirk a job she'd been assigned, but nor was she inclined to work more than she had to.

Luppi, still a little upset that he wouldn't get the chance to tamper with anything, headed to the Hangar for a curious look anyway. He had no intention of touching anything and simply intended to content himself with just looking at the planes. Well, it wasn't like he'd be able to tell which was which or what belonged to who or which ship anyway. He didn't pay much attention to the whole thing.

Still, he was grumpy and sulky looking as he made his way in, unhappy that he'd been roped in to the boring Guard Duty rubbish that he really had no interest in anyway. As if Cabin Boy duties weren't droll enough. What was he supposed to do if anybody came about and tried to get past him? Sleeve-flail them to death? Sure, so he had a little sword tucked under one arm, but the pink sheathe combined with the short length didn't exactly strike fear into the hearts of the wicked.

He peeked in, his small frame casting only a tiny shadow on the rectangular beam of light shining onto floor of the doorway.

The Dog, catching sight of Luppi in the doorway, came bounding towards him, her paws pattering haphazardly on the hangar floor. Someone who didn't look like they had anything pressing to get on with could well be someone she could pass the time with, and Luppi certainly didn't look like someone with an urgent purpose in mind.

Recognizing her fellow cabin boy as she drew closer, she pulled up in front of him, looking up at him with an expression of mixed appraisal and greeting. "Coming to help guard these things?"

Luppi nodded, grinning down at the Dog with the sort of happy glee that only manifests when he has stuff to do that he's cleverly avoiding.

"Well, I was coming to have a look at them, but I think I can help~." He said, waving a hand dismissively and allowing the sleeve to flap when he did.

The Dog grinned back, jumping up at Luppi - a perhaps overenthusiastic gesture of friendliness, but if Luppi didn't like paws all up him, he could always push her off, and if he was going to help, an expression of gratitude seemed in order.

"Good, good, I like help. And if you were coming to look at them, you like planes?"

Watson, on the other hand, was merely taking another one of his numerous walks. There was a need for him to accustom himself to his new cane, at any rate, heavier it was than his usual. Hibari was certainly an odd one, giving him something that was more weapon than a walking implement, but he intended to put it to good use as the latter.

It just so happened that he was also concerned about the recent attempts at sabotage with the planes, and so decided to take his walk in the area.

so sorry for the slowness orz thirdshiner June 24 2009, 19:02:18 UTC
Completing another circuit of the hangar, the Dog sauntered over to Watson as he approached, wagging her tail friendlily - maybe not the most intimidating and guard-dog-like of greetings, but she'd seen enough of him to be reasonably sure he was no saboteur, and therefore not in need of scaring off.

Watson looked down at the dog quizzically for a moment, wondering if someone had stationed a guard dog for one of the entrants. Ah, but Watson was not adverse to animals, and he smiled at it in a friendly way, not wishing for it to bolt at his movements. "Are you alone, my dear?" he said out loud, not expecting the dog to reply in any way. He thought it was a handsome dog, with strong markings and a solid build, perked ears, and a distinguished snout.

"For the moment, as far as I'm aware," the Dog replied, wagging her tail friendlily at Watson's approving look.

Harlequin has been wandering around and comes across a really big building with a lot of people and activity. Nifty! He doesn't see any "Restricted" or "Keep Out" signs or the like, so he decides to go in and check it out.

He's marveling at all the planes - he's never seen planes like this close up must.resist.temptation to climb up and go exploring orz - and making sure to keep out from underfoot of all the hustle and bustle. But he comes around the landing gear of a plane only to nearly bump into - AH!

His eyes go wide and he backpedals, eyes darting around for a place to hide - no place he could get to before the dog can get to /him/! "A-ah . . . n-nice doggie . . . p-please don't decide I look like a chewtoy...." He's continuing to back away slowly.

The Dog was prowling around the planes, wearing one of her more menacing faces - and perhaps a few inches larger than usual, too, for the full 'guard-dog' effect. But nonetheless, she wasn't expecting anyone to be this scared of her, and nor was she expecting this sort of 'someone'.

Was it even a 'someone'? It looked like a someone, if not a very large someone, but it didn't smell right at all - things that smelt of wood shouldn't talk and act like people. She reached out a paw to prod at the whatever-it-was, experimentally.

Harlequin considered making a dash for it, but he remembered hearing somewhere that dogs like to chase things, so that he'd only be inviting it to do so, and besides, he knew he couldn't outrun it. Weren't guard dogs supposed to be more intelligent than other dogs? Maybe it wouldn't hurt him if he was nice to it - it seemed...more or less friendly so far. It wasn't growling at him at any rate.

OH! Paw! He backpedaled another few steps before making himself hold his ground. "N-nice to meet you too," he ventured, reaching to just barely touch the paw held out in his direction.

The Dog grinned at the thing - it certainly didn't seem dangerous, and it looked like it was even trying to be friendly, so she turned her poke into a delicate 'handshake' as he reached out to touch her paw.

"Nice to meet you. What are you?" she asked bluntly, sniffing at him - curiosity over pleasantries, for now, until she could be sure she could trust him not to be or do something unpredictable or dangerous.
