On news that the president had been killed in the bombings, Nikolas had proceeded to consume quite a bit of alcohol. And then done some serious damage to one of the walls in his room.

Thankfully (for the rest of the crew, at least) his metabolism meant that he was already largely sober by the time Hibari had pounded on his door and announced the impromptu meeting. His first instinct had been to ignore it, just stay in his room until they figured out what the hell was going on, but the part of him that was reluctantly pulled towards leadership recognized the wisdom in getting everyone together to discuss what had happened, especially now that the rest of the crew was beginning to catch on.

He didn't know what, if anything, he would really be able to do, but at the very least, he wanted to put in an appearance.

"Taking initiative, I see," he commented as he reached the pilot's quarters. It looked as if he were the first. "I suppose this is an easier way to discuss just how screwed we all are."

"No one else will, and our Captain is indisposed."

Hibari knew this first hand; he had already tried to call the man in, and received no response. The pilot made no move to offer Nik anything; he only continued smoking his cigarette.

"As to whether we are screwed or not may still be ours to decide."

"I'm not surprised," Nikolas replied, choosing to simply lean against the wall, in lieu of finding somewhere to sit. "I doubt he's taking this well." Nikolas had served on the Silvana long enough to know that much, though he was sure Alex's silence was making some of the others uneasy.

"It will probably depend on how well our alibi holds." Nothing had leaked out yet, but he couldn't take that as encouraging, not when it seemed they had been set up.

"And do you know anything? You have been around longer than I have."
