Shinjiro looked at the hand, his dramatic entrance somewhat dulled by the welcome. He took the hand and shook it, even though he was still scowling somewhat.

"Shinjiro Aragaki. And I'm here to show you a thing or two." His voice was straight forward and blunt, no joking involved.

He noticed the tiny smirk, he was an expert at the expression himself after all. But that was just fine. There was nothing wrong with a little pride. And to be honest... he hoped Francis was as good as he claimed, otherwise this would be a waste of his time.

Then there was the offer of drinks. Now he had never heard of drinking before cooking (though he often drank before), but he sure as hell wasn't going to turn down an offer of free booze.

"Sure, why the hell not?" He took the glass and drank, the warmth hitting his guts. Very nice...

"To prep or to cook?."

All right. After having actually eaten the food Francis made, Leo could start to forgive the guy. He actually did have a soft spot for fine cuisine, and this was by far the finest he had eaten in... years, perhaps? And while he still wasn't going to hang around for two hours, he didn't mind lingering a little while.

But after the cook had revealed his... interest in the human body, Leo had made a note to watch the cook while he was making the food. He was not touching that food, no matter how good it was, if the man took off any clothing before or while he was preparing it.

... and surprisingly, instead of finding anything revolting, Leo had found it was actually entertaining to watch the man work. Francis was clearly a master chef.

Leo had been waiting for dinner, enjoying a cup of tea in the meantime, when the cook from the other ship stormed in. This was even more curious, since the man intended to fight... but cooks didn't duel with swords, did they ( ... )

Deciding to peek into the kitchen after hearing the visiting chef's loud announcement, Cao Cao wondered if he should make good with his throats against Bonnefoy. He promised the fool that he would toss him off the deck of the Victoria II for calling him unattractive but Cao knew that the admiral would never allow it. Therefore, he decided to put his faith in the rogue chef who stormed upon their vessel in getting some mild vengeance against the pompous Bonnefoy.

Despite being sure that he never met Chef Shinjiro Aragaki ever before in his life, the strategist couldn't fight back the sense of deja vu once he heard his voice...

"So that's the man who challenged that imbecile?" Cao muttered to himself before glancing over towards the helmsman who stood nearby.

"Mhm, this shall be a interesting show."

When Soubi heard the challenge to their dear new chef on the network, he knew right then and there that he simply must attend this historic event - a lone cook out of nowhere coming to face their dear Francis: this was too interesting to miss. So, packing up his journal, (he intended to record this for his own personal enjoyment later - perhaps the enjoyment of the Network as well if it was entertaining enough) Soubi headed straight for the kitchen, idly wondering if that stripping rule was in effect or not. He made it in just in time to hear two other spectators commenting on the preparations.

"And with luck, perhaps they'll let us try the resulting cuisine~" he added.

Phoenix hadn't read about the impending showdown on the network. Actually, he'd just gone to the kitchen because he was thirsty, and looking for a glass of water. He was quite surprised to find a strange cook in the kitchen, along with Mr. de Alkirk, Commander Cao Cao, and someone Phoenix didn't recognize, but who bore a remarkable similarity to Mr. Gavin. He blinked.

"Uh....what's going on, here?" he asked, staring. The two cooks seemed quite engrossed in their work. What's with the tension in the air? Phoenix wondered. "I--I suppose it wouldn't be too much to ask for a glass of water, would it?"
