Soubi wasn't terribly injured in the fight against the yeti that had made its way into the engine room, but it never hurt to be on the cautious side. After some time's rest, he was more than happy to pay a visit to the infirmary. He didn't quite know why people were so hesitant to go there; he found it to be a lovely place.

To be polite, he knocked on the infirmary door before opening it.

"Ah, good day, Miss Takano."

There really was no need to knock as the door was always open, but Miyo found it to be a nice gesture anyway. She turned in her seat just as Soubi entered the door.

"Hello. Mr. Agatsuma, was it? What do you need help with today?" This was one of the rare cases where she couldn't tell the moment the patient came in. Most of the Vicoria II tended to come into the infirmary with rather... obvious ailments. Broken bones, excessive bleeding, that sort of thing.

[ooc: Let me know if you want her to address him some other way. I always get tripped up on Japanese names (even though I'm taking Japanese, orz)]

"I would just like a regular check up," Soubi answered. Lucky for him Miyo was there. It would be ever so awkward to ask his dear cousin for a check up, and he rather liked her. She was intelligent and a real joy to speak to. "Those beasts were terrible and I'm afraid I may have overexerted myself."

[OOC: Nah, s'cool. As long as Soubi knows he's supposed to respond to it, he doesn't care what anyone calls him.]

Oh yes, the yetis. Now, Miyo had spent most of that time during the attack... conspicuously absent. How had she managed to hide herself away? Of course, she would never give away her secret~ But it truly did sound like it had been a fearsome fight. She sympathized with the people involved.

"Ah, now we can't have that. Please, sit down." She waved a hand at the examination table as she went to her desk to pull on a pair of gloves. Precautions, precautions~

"Are you experiencing any muscle strain? Fatigue? Shortness of breath?" She began to go through the check list. Best to get all the easy questions out of the way first.

It wasn't that Matilda disliked doctors. Oh no, quite the contrary. She held them in deep respect, and understood they were an essential part of any society. There had even been moments when she wondered if she would like to become one ( ... )

Ah. Another knocker. It looks like Miyo was getting the polite ones today. How nice! Today was shaping up to be a nice, if a little boring, day. Of course, she knew that would change if she even thought about it, so she quickly turned her thoughts to the job at hand.

After a moment she realized the person on the other side of the door wasn't going to come in of his or her own volition, so Miyo took the initiative herself, getting up from her chair and walking to the door.

She opened the door and blinked a few times when she saw the face of the girl before her. How... curious.

"My, what's the matter?" She asked as kindly as she could muster. To be perfectly honest, she wasn't very good with children. They were always running around and never gave you a straight answer. She would have to beat it out of the girl, wouldn't she? Miyo resisted an urge to sigh. This was all a part of her job.

Well there went that hope.

She looked up at Takano, and fiddled a little with the long red ribbon in her hair.

"I don't think my records are up to date." she admitted, a little embarassed. She probably should have come here a lot sooner, but she figured with the recent attacks that a lot of people would have been rounded up for checks whether they wanted to be or not.

She wasn't even sure what they did have, if anything at all. Technically she was a passenger, so there really wasn't a need for them to have her records, but it seemed she was a 'permanent passenger' of sorts since she was being kept here.

"Ah." So, that was it. Miyo gave her the girl one of your characteristic smiles. "And what's your name? I'll take a look to see what we have so far, and then we'll give you a check up, alright? I promise it will be quick and painless." It was only a check up, after all.

She opened the door wider and motioned for the girl to come inside.

This hallway...looked very similar to the one she'd been in just a few minutes ago. Greta pursed her lips. That open door couldn't be the same open door as before, right? It just looked like a similar open door. She walked over hesitantly, and instantly recognized the mounted 'Infirmary' sign that she'd supposedly seen in a different hallway. Unless the Victoria II had two separate infirmaries...which she doubted that it did. The little girl let out a puff of air from her mouth, frustrated. How would she ever do her duties as a cabin girl if she couldn't find the Admiral's cabin, much less her own?

Hearing movement from within, she stepped forward a little, hoping to find someone who could redirect her. And if she found the ship's doctor, then maybe she could ask for a check up too. She'd been feeling kind of dizzy for the past few days, but she was pretty sure that was just beginner's airsickness. It never hurt to ask.

"Um, hello?" she called softly.

"Yes?" Miyo called out at the tentative voice. She turned her gaze to the door and tilted her head down, finding the young girl standing there. Oh, another child. How did the Victoria II end up with so many children, she wondered? Ah well, they made for good cabin boys and powder monkeys, which might explain why they ended up in the infirmary so often.

"Can I help you?" she asked, putting on her best smile (which, quite frankly, was still a little bit eerie). The child looked a bit confused. It was a sure sign of "I really don't know what I'm doing here."

Greta smiled a tiny smile back. She wasn't one of those who had bad experiences with doctors, so she wasn't at all afraid of them...but somehow she couldn't help but feel timid. Especially when the doctor's smile was just a little on the scary side.

"I'm trying to find my way back to the deck...do you know where I have to go?"

Ah. So she just wanted directions. That was simple enough.

"Exit this room, take a right, go down the hallway and take another right, then go down that hallway, take a left, and the stairwell should be three doors down on your left," Miyo said, making a few gestures to nail the point home.

Hmmm... perhaps that wasn't so simple.

The attack was past, the ship was in quite a mess, and most of the available crew was busy cleaning it up.

Luke himself, on the other hand, was actually pretty free. He wasn't part of the crew, after all - just a passenger, his position in the ship vouched by none other than Peony. It sure saved him a lot of trouble from scuttling about with his lack of ship documents. Things would have been pretty bad otherwise... He was bored now though, now that the crew was occupied with the ship. There wasn't much to do and hell could freeze over (even though they were stuck in the cold regions of Northern Ivona) before Luke would ever look up for Margrace. That was nuts - no matter how long the noble knew him he would never fully understand that man. He was just weird. End of story ( ... )

Ah. Now here was a rude one. Because of this, Miyo didn't look up from her documents this time to see who had come in. An eye for an eye~ Or was that only to be used in the most extreme offenses? Ah, well.

"Is there something you need?" she asked suddenly, still not looking up or turning around. She moved to another page, her pen scribbling furiously across it. Really, there was no need for her to show that much haste. She had the whole day, after all. But like she said before, an eye for an eye, rudeness for rudeness.

But most of all, Miyo was just having a bit of fun.

Luke poked his head through the opened door, emerald eyes scanning the area with scrutiny before he noticed the woman sitting at the table. The redhead paused for a bit when she spoke - no, this certainly wasn't the voice that belonged to Jade when he spoke with the doctor back then over the journals - but soon managed to compose himself as he entered the room and gazed around his surroundings for a bit before slowly walking up to the nurse. Jade did call himself a doctor after all... maybe she would know where he was?

"I'm..." the Erealian started, uncertainty in his voice. Why was he going to ask about Jade anyway? He had been just a passing thought... then again, it wasn't as if he could back down after entering like this. "I'm looking for Jade. D'you know where he is?"

"Ah, Dr. Curtiss, you mean?" Miyo placed emphasis on the name. She finally turned her chair towards him, a clipboard still in her hand. She tapped the top of the clipboard lightly against her lips.

"Dr. Curtiss, let's see..." She chuckled a bit. "Well, it's my shift, and I told him to get some rest after forbidding him to come back in here until it was his shift again. In that case he should be in his room, but he has likely ignored my advice, so I can't say where he might be."
