Taiga dropped her own pillow on the deck near Wolf's head, planting herself by it with a thud.
She wrapped her stripey blanket firmly around herself as she looked up at the sky. Yes, those were pretty, but really, she didn't think they were quite that entrancing...she'd been hoping there'd be some good company for this camping sleepover whatever-it-was, but it didn't look like it. Maybe she'd be better going back in instead of sitting about on the deck? It wasn't like it was warm, even.

"It's cold, you know," she said, conversationally, if a little whinily, without turning her eyes from the sky.

[ooc: I. Uh. Tried to comment on your journal first, but you don't have Taiga friended yet so I can't.]

Ichigo hadn't seen the post on the network. Instead, he'd planned on going out on deck to get some space and think. However, when he saw Wolf and Taiga sitting on the deck on a bunch of pillows, he gave a short sigh. He could always go around to the other side of the ship, but why the heck were they camping out on the deck?

"What are you doing out here?" he demanded, hands shoved into the pockets of his coat.

Taiga pointed her finger firmly at the sky. "Watching."

Shifting out of her previous pose leant back on her hands, she sat up straighter, looking up at Ichigo. "Wanna join us? It's pretty, but it's not that exciting, really. Company'd be more fun."

Ichigo looked up at the sky just in time to see a meteor shoot by. "Huh." He didn't know there was anything like that tonight. A spark of interest flickered in his eyes for a moment -- he'd never seen one before. "It's just a meteor shower," he said dismissively. Being the grouch that he was, especially around strangers, Ichigo was unwilling to show any excitement. He had an image to keep up, after all.

"Sorry. I'm not great company," he muttered. Ichigo had come up here to be alone, after all. Still, he sort of wanted to watch the falling stars a little longer.

What an eventful trip this had been. When Aeris signed on board, she hadn't expected any of this. In all honesty she rather liked it; no one had gotten hurt, and that was the most important thing, and they had had quite the adventure.

When all was said and down, though, she was glad things had finally calmed down. As interesting as it had all been, it was nice to finally settle down amongst friends and relax. The Cetra laid out a blanket and three pillows somewhere on the deck where she could get a good view of the shower. Under her arm was tucked a picnic basket.

A meteor shower...how beautiful. She settled down, and pulled her legs to her chest, wrapping her arms around them.

Rhyme had been lured out by the promise of something amazing that she had never seen. A meteor shower! That was so exciting she couldn't even contain herself. Not even Captain Ryuzaki's promise of candy could quite match that right now.

She wasn't sure where she was going to sit and lay down when she got up onto the deck, but one of the new crew members had laid out a blanket and pillows so that seemed like the perfect place to start.

"Um. Hi! I'm Rhyme, one of the doctors. Would you mind if I joined you?"

Aeris looked up when Rhyme hailed her and smiled, patting one of the empty pillows to indicate she was welcome "Of course! The more the merrier. I'm Trisha." In the haste to get to Candy Mountain, and then all that had happened since she hadn't gotten to opportunity to properly meet many people. There was Sophie, Yuna, Tifa, and now Rhyme, but that was about it.

"What perfect timing, don't you think? Right after everything finally calmed down; I'm so excited." Everything seemed to be singing today, and Aeris couldn't imagine what it'd be like once the meteor shower came. The stars had always intrigued her, perhaps even more than her plants. Like many others, doubtless, she too had wondered what lay beyond the stars.

Rhyme flopped down and grinned at Trisha.

"It's going to be really exciting. I've never seen a meteor shower before. Lots of new things." Candy Mountain and a meteor shower, it was the most amazing week ever.

"Can you imagine what it's like up there?" Now she was fully settled down on the blanket and staring upwards. "We must feel like a really crazy ship to you."

He had been working. Not on stuff for the ship but for his other job, the one he constantly insisted to the crew involved difference engine programming. He had actually been finishing up looking through crime scene photographs as well as a few documents. At least he'd been able to send off a message to Watari to check up on a few details before Vash had gotten really impatient and tried to drag him off bodily or something.

Apple cinnamon muffins had been dug out of his 'stash' and brought along for the occasion. When he finally did get outside, he did have to admit it was beautiful. The sky was clear and they were up high enough that there weren't too many clouds in the way. The stars were brilliant in the background, and the meteors streaming across the sky made an incredible foreground.

Normally he would have been irritated by the distraction, but he supposed going along with Vash was alright.

"Well, we are here. What did you intend for us to do now?"

After past events, Vash had become determined to take the health of his captain seriously. As able-bodied as Ryuzaki was, he didn't scream 'healthy' at all - sometimes, despite knowing better, he wondered if the man had ever stepped out into the sun in his entire life. While this spectacular show didn't have anything to do with sunlight, it was at least a good excuse to get Ryuzaki out of his room for some fresh air.

It also made a good excuse to be a little selfish in taking up more of his time. As long as he passed it off as being good for Ryuzaki somehow (and there was no doubt that it was!), he thought it would be okay to keep doing it.

"Now, we relax!" He finally let go of Ryuzaki's arm, which he'd had a grip on ever since leaving his cabin, to make sure he couldn't escape. Vash stepped a little closer to the crowd already gathered on the deck, simply plopping down to sit once he found a good spot.

He didn't do relaxation. He really didn't. He did work and more work, and occasionally when he didn't have work, he did more work anyway. Still, Vash had 'asked' so he was going to put a little effort into it. Maybe if he relaxed extra hard Vash would let him get back to work sooner.

His arm was very slightly sore from being dragged around and he rubbed it slightly where Vash had been touching him, after that, he followed Vash over to where he had plopped, hunched down and set out the muffins.

"I know they are not donuts, but please enjoy them. I will be sure to get you more donuts when we return from Candy Mountain." And then he picked up a muffin to start eating. "It is a very unique view."

"Ah! You're so kind, Ryuzaki!" He said it enthusiastically, grabbing one of the muffins and biting into it. At this point, Ryuzaki was one of his top donut suppliers, behind the cooks themselves of course. He tried not to expect donuts from him, but he always offered, and there was no way he'd turn down offers for donuts.

Scarfing the muffin down in seconds, he then tilted his head back to look at the sky, a wide smile on his face. "It's beautiful. It looks like the stars are chasing each other." He loved meteor showers. Sometimes, there was just nothing better than watching the stars.

"Have you ever wondered what it'd be like, way up there?"
