What an eventful trip this had been. When Aeris signed on board, she hadn't expected any of this. In all honesty she rather liked it; no one had gotten hurt, and that was the most important thing, and they had had quite the adventure.

When all was said and down, though, she was glad things had finally calmed down. As interesting as it had all been, it was nice to finally settle down amongst friends and relax. The Cetra laid out a blanket and three pillows somewhere on the deck where she could get a good view of the shower. Under her arm was tucked a picnic basket.

A meteor shower...how beautiful. She settled down, and pulled her legs to her chest, wrapping her arms around them.

Rhyme had been lured out by the promise of something amazing that she had never seen. A meteor shower! That was so exciting she couldn't even contain herself. Not even Captain Ryuzaki's promise of candy could quite match that right now.

She wasn't sure where she was going to sit and lay down when she got up onto the deck, but one of the new crew members had laid out a blanket and pillows so that seemed like the perfect place to start.

"Um. Hi! I'm Rhyme, one of the doctors. Would you mind if I joined you?"

Aeris looked up when Rhyme hailed her and smiled, patting one of the empty pillows to indicate she was welcome "Of course! The more the merrier. I'm Trisha." In the haste to get to Candy Mountain, and then all that had happened since she hadn't gotten to opportunity to properly meet many people. There was Sophie, Yuna, Tifa, and now Rhyme, but that was about it.

"What perfect timing, don't you think? Right after everything finally calmed down; I'm so excited." Everything seemed to be singing today, and Aeris couldn't imagine what it'd be like once the meteor shower came. The stars had always intrigued her, perhaps even more than her plants. Like many others, doubtless, she too had wondered what lay beyond the stars.

Rhyme flopped down and grinned at Trisha.

"It's going to be really exciting. I've never seen a meteor shower before. Lots of new things." Candy Mountain and a meteor shower, it was the most amazing week ever.

"Can you imagine what it's like up there?" Now she was fully settled down on the blanket and staring upwards. "We must feel like a really crazy ship to you."

"Crazy yes, but it's a charm!" This had been quite the hectic week. Between mentions of monsters, cults, hallucinations and babies it was a little dizzying. Not all of it had been very pleasant, she had heard of some things

Once again Trisha's eyes went skyward.

"Who knows, the mystery is what makes it so appealing." She couldn't help but feel that her mother had told her stories about the stars too, but that was years ago, so many years ago.

Aeris opened her basket and took out some sandwiches she had made and offered Rhyme one "Hungry?"

"I think it's really fun here so far. I like the crazy sometimes. I started out on the 4423 -- but it wasn't the right type of crazy." She was only sort of getting used to having Beat around and thinking of him as a good friend instead of that creeper who thought he was her brother.

"Oh, thank you." She took a sandwich and flopped back down, holding the sandwich over her mouth while she looked up at the sky. "Why did you start flying?"

The 4423? The name rang a bell, wasn't that one of the ships that had been at Kropmork a while ago for the peace conference? That sounded about right, it was the pirate ship. Aeris was glad that Rhyme had switched on over to a safer place, a pirate ship was no place for someone so young.

She tapped her chin in thought before beginning to answer the question "Well mostly I just wanted a permanent job. Before I came on board I did a lot of traveling from place to place mostly picking up jobs as a healer or a botanist; but then I suppose you could say I got wanderlust and would move on. So I figured an airship would be a good place for me to have a steady job, and still be able to travel around. This is actually only my third time on one, seems like I picked a good match for me."

"What about you?

Rhyme though about it for a little while and she didn't have a really good answer. "It just felt right. Sometimes you just know, ya know?"

She wasn't sure why she'd decided to get on that ship months ago. I mean she'd met Winry, who was great, and Beat, who was really weird, but they had both been really nice, Himura was just a jerky-head though.

"I think --- I was just trying to get away." That was probably the most honest she'd been about her reasons for a very long time.

Aeris nodded, understanding, at least to some degree what Rhyme meant. Sometimes it wasn't necessity that forced Aeris to move from one city to the next. Maybe she hadn't been entirely lying when she blamed her moving around on wanderlust. Seemed she had come contradictory feelings in her...her answer was beginning to seem more honest than she had anticipated.

The second half of Rhyme's answer did cause her to perk an eyebrow.

"Get away?" she echoed.

The question started to hit on some uncomfortable topics, the sort of topics she didn't want to think about or especially talk about. On the other hand, it had been a very long time.

"I have been away from home for a very long time -- and not all of the time in between was good."

And she couldn't really remember why she wasn't at home any more, either. It was very confusing sometimes.

Aeris couldn't help but remember the conversation she and Tifa had had not too long ago, Rhyme was yet another person to add to the roster of those who seemed to be too troubled, too young.

She would rather not ruin what was suppose to be a happy moment, so the Cetra left it at that. Rhyme seemed happy with her place on the Winding Way, and she was sure with an airship it would be easy for the girl to return whenever she desired. In the end, that was what mattered. Surely the Captain wouldn't deny a young girl a ride home, when and if she chose that path.

"Ah, I'm sorry to hear that, but we are here now, right?"

"Yeah!" She scarfed the rest of her sandwich and slung her arms behind her neck. "I'm learning how to be a doctor and I am going to study in the best college and I'm going to help everyone! It's what I always wanted."

She flopped back and giggled.

"What are your dreams?" Dreams were important, more than most anything, as far as Rhyme was concerned.

How wonderful. It warmed Aeris' heart to hear of her dreams and ambitions, and what a caring goal it was too.

The question, admittedly caught Aeris a little off guard. She was twenty years old, but despite that had never found herself to have given it serious thought.

After all, most of her concerns had always laid in simply surviving, and evading the goons of Ivona. So what would she do, if she could?

"I suppose I'd like to open up a flower shop some day. Or just a general shop for plants. Sell herbs, flowers, and spices."

Maybe.

Someday.

Somewhere down the line.

"Flowers!? You must be really excited for Amicus then. Are you going to decorate the ship? I'm going to get ivy and pink carnations for everyone." She'd been planning that for almost a month now. It was going to be great.

She was thinking about working up the courage to send Hana or Ness some actual flowers but -- considering all the trouble that had been going on lately she didn't think that would be very wise at all.

"Do you miss flowers being on a ship?"

"I most certainly am!" Amicus had always been a favorite of holiday for her. She'd never really had a beau to celebrate it with, but Aeris liked to remind many other people who sometimes played the cynic for that reason, Amicus wasn't only about romance.

"And yes, I was thinking of doing that, but shh! I want to surprise everyone with it." she said, putting a finger to her mouth secretly.

"Not flowers. I can grow flowers on the ship just fine--you should come by my room sometimes. I manage to grow some flowers. Mind you, not much, but it's enough to keep me content, and enough I think to decorate at least some of the deck." Really, the problem came mostly in space. She had plenty of pots and trays where she could grow things, but you could only fit so many in her room.

"Well ... let me know if you need any help. I'm still going to buy a few pots of ivy and things, but if we could make it look bright and cheerful for a few days I think everyone would be really happy."

She couldn't imagine what the ship would look like, already fancy and elaborate, covered in flowers or vines. It would make the perfect atmosphere for Amicus.

"You grow flowers on the ship?" Now she really wanted to see them. "I really am no good with plants, unfortunately. I have to buy them."

The meteor shower was really starting in earnest now and it lit up the night sky with streams of light and Rhyme just laid back watching and taking in everything.
