Mifune was in the kitchen, preparing a large pot of soup; it was fairly basic, but he knew that it tasted fine and he was certain that he couldn't fail to make it at least edible. On a pirate ship, you couldn't realistically expect more than that.

One sword was still strapped to his side. THe others were in their case, leaning against the wall while he worked. He could probably go without them, but years of looking over his shoulder had made him reasonably paranoid, and they weren't getting in the way much.

The kitchen was one of her first stops. She hadn't met any of the cooks yet--Mifune, Anthy and Cimorene. The latter in particular had been here for quite some time. Winry bit her lip. She'd been slacking a lot in getting to know her crew.

She entered the kitchen, looking around and it was only now that she realized that she was a little hungry. Perhaps she had holed herself up a little longer than she had intended, it would hardly be the first time she had done something like that. Sometimes she just got so caught up in her tinkering.

Her eyes fell on Mifune who was cooking something and she gave a small smile. "Hello." she hailed

Mifune didn't turn around to look at her. Yet another person come to try and get an early meal, steal from the kitchen, it seemed to him. "It's not ready yet," he said, giving it another stir. "When it is, we'll let you know."

Damn. Well she could wait another couple hours then, she had many people to go before she was all caught up after all.

"Actually my original intention for coming here was to meet the cooks..." her voice trailed off a little. Seemed like he was the only person in here for the moment; she'd hunt down the others later. Or hopefully they'd make their appearance soon.

She sat down at one of the seats at the table and pulled a leg up, wrapping her arms around it.

Anthy, while she hadn't met, she had heard her voice so she ventured to guess "Mifune...correct?"

How many holes were there in the ship's hull, anyway? They didn't seem to end. Dimo shook his head as he rolled up his sleeves, determined to make short work of this one. He'd sealed five smaller holes this week alone, and there were doubtless many more to go. He didn't tire easily, thank God, but still, he did get bored after doing the same thing for most of the afternoon. This one had a bit more to go before it would be quite finished.

Winry had more or less been visiting every spot of the ship--exceptions being only private rooms. She'd rather not intrude on a person and start off on a bad foot. She hadn't really met many people till the sound of Dimo's hammering and repairing fell upon her ears. She walked over to the side of the ship and looked down. It was a little hard to see him at first because of how the ship was angled, but she leaned over a bit and caught sight of...

A Jager. There was Mamma and Maxim, so if her memory was correct the other Jager onboard was one called Dimo. She leaned on the side of the boat, folding her arms and couldn't help but grin a bit. He seemed so earnest in his work, so she just watched for a bit, tucking her chin in her palm.

Almost there. With a final swing of the hammer, Dimo nailed the new wood into place and sealed the hole, satisfied with the amount of caulk that he had used to fill in the gap between the new board and the existing hull. Only three more to go for the afternoon, but they were on the other side of the ship ( ... )

Winry returned the wave with a small one of her own. She watched as he scaled the ship and stood back to give him some space as he climbed over.

She took his hand and shook it before hooking her thumbs on the straps of her pants. She leaned back, admittedly a little surprised by the polite introduction. Most of her crew were a fairly friendly bunch, but few exhibited such courtesy. What could be expected though? They were pirates. Winry herself didn't exactly possess what you would call proper protocol.

At least not when she was being herself; growing up in Ivona had taught her what she needed if she ever wanted to fool someone.

"Mmm. Not quite new," she said with a small chuckle, "I'm Winry."

Enough is enough. I'm done for the day.

If anything could be said about Cloud, it was that the man was dedicated. Cloud was loyal to a fault, even, and there was no greater evidence present than the fact that he was still on board the 4423 and still trying to put the ship back in a better working condition.

There's no wonder why this ship didn't have a shipwright already. They probably couldn't stand it and quit.Cloud, climbing out of the deepest depths of the ship, out from the bare bones of the craft and beyond any point that most crew members would even dare to tread, dusted himself off, removing the outer layer of dirt-and-grease-coated clothing, then began to walk down the hall towards his workshop/quarters. He was tired, and it was visible; he had been working vigorously straight through the 'holiday' without a lot of rest. Still, the blonde carried himself well, walking straight and tall, even wearing a very gentle smile on his face ( ... )

Winry had always told herself that she would limit how often she visited her crew in their rooms. Pirates in general, and she knew a good bunch on the 4423 liked their privacy. Hell, she did too. She liked being able to escape to her private space or the engine room when she wanted alone time, and most people knew that whenever she was working they probably wouldn't get her attention anyway.

Her vow was that she would only do it if invited, or if there was cause for serious worry--only very important reasons. Being who she was though she typically had a very motherly, worrying, and bossy view over her crew so those visitations happened more than she'd like to think.

Several minutes after his collapse, Winry just missed him as he departed from where he'd been working. Cloud was one face she had been looking around for a while. She hadn't found him which meant he was either out in town, or in his room, so she'd have to make an exception.

The knock came softly; if he was asleep than she'd try another day.

It was fortunate for Winry that Cloud, never one to rest on his laurels so easily, had decided that it wasn't time for a rest just yet. Despite the wear and tear on his body from working such long hours, he had hopped out of the hammock after only a moment or two, only to begin working his way into an exercise routine.

Winry's soft knock on the door was enough to push it open a tad more; it had never been fully closed, and inside was Cloud, on the floor, performing push-ups in a steady, marching rhythm with only one finger pressed against the floor. He made no noise, save for a soft, exerting grunt as he rose up. His upper body, exposed, revealed soft, fair skin coating a very slim, lean shape. He wasn't overtly muscular, but his conditioning and vitality was still perfectly evident.

Cloud didn't notice Winry at first, but after a moment, he suddenly paused in mid-'up', holding himself steady, and looked towards the doorway.

He blinked once, wide-eyed, then immediately shot up off of the floor and out of sight behind the doorway. " ( ... )

Winry was just as much surprised when the door gave in so easily, she had thought it had been closed. She was going to stay where she was and just call his name, but before her mouth opened she saw him doing his exercises. Her voice was lost to her for a moment, first due to being quite impressed. Push ups on a finger? Damn this guy was packing quite a bit of power.

The second thing that hit her was--well she wasn't entirely sure. Being someone who dealt with mana crystals on a regular basis, and someone who was a good magician (despite her reservations about magic) she could feel there was something strange in this room, but she couldn't pin it to Cloud. She figured he probably just had some crystals somewhere around.

The third thing, and the one that stuck most was his clothing. Or rather, the lack there of.

Oh Jeez. When they made eye contact she flushed and stepped back. Part of her wanted to leave but that would probably just make things more awkward in the future. In her line of work Winry saw a fair amount of naked people-- ( ... )

After all the drama and upset of the past few days, from the disappearing islands (including one they'd been on at the time) to Mew to Reno, Anko was glad for the chance to just relax for a minute or two.

Currently the relaxation spot she'd found was sitting up on an outside rail, leaning against some rigging and lounging in a sunbeam. First person to order her to do anything would find a very uncooperative woman, she was determined to enjoy herself for at least a moment.

Winry gave a small stretch, pulling her arms above her head. Though she'd only talked with a couple people so far, they have been good and enjoyable discussions; she felt like she was making progress which was something she hadn't felt in quite a while. What with no further hints on the stone or and most of her inventions blowing up in her face. It was a nice change.

She looked upward, following her hands and stopped in mid-stretch when she saw Anko perched on a sunbeam. She tilted her head to the side, first wondering how she had gotten there. Her eyes looked around, trying to figure out what she had climbed onto, or used but then she figured it didn't really matter.

Instead she just gave a wave "Hey, there!" she called to get her attention.

Huh? Anko opened her eyes, blinking in the sun. Slowly, she realized that she recognized that voice. Even if it had been a while since she'd heard it. Leaning down so that she was almost falling over, she grinned down at her first mate. "Winry! Have seen you in a while!"

Giving herself a little push, she jumped from her perch to where the other girl stood. Winry had been scare lately, or perhaps Anko had been so wrapped up in her own problems she simply hadn't noticed the girl being around.

Landing easily on the forgiving wood of the deck, Anko straightened up with a grin. "'Cha up to?"

Though it was probably unnecessary, she stepped back a little when Anko jumped down, just in case.

The jump from that height was impressive considering that Anko had done it out of her own talent and skill "Ah, just decided it was finally time I came out in the daylight." She really did feel like a mole sometimes with how she cooped herself up whenever she was working on something.

"That and I figured it was high time I meet some of our newer members. Been a slow process but seems we've gotten a nice round of people. You?"
