Serenity plot: Things that Go Bump
Sorry for the delay, there were some issues with the plot that needed to be changed. Now that that's all fixed, it's time to move forward! Serenity has left Shashta (mostly) unscathed and is well on its way to Toca Mill. However, all is not well. Lately there's been strange noises late at night, almost like a scratch of claws against metal, and food's started to go missing from the kitchens. Is it a ghost? Is it a monster? Or is it your common, run of the mill stow-away? It's up to you guys to find out!
Consider this your plotting post! Comment here with what your characters plan to do about this and what their plans are for the investigation ...or the results. Feel free to plan ICly as well. Your characters can either respond to his post on the matter or they can start your own. He's willing to give the crew space on how to solve this problem, so long as they get it taken care of. As for the log, we'll have one up just as soon as crew's plan gets hashed out.

Edit: Since this has come up multiple times, this is what the more magically inclined crew members have been able to sense: there is not a consistent supernatural presence, but there are spikes of magical energy in different areas of the ship. Mostly this has been focused around the cargo hold, though it has showed up in other areas with much less regularity, such as the surrounding quarters (and the kitchens once or twice).
