Disappearing 'hoods with addition of an EP/SP

I poked around through the tags and didn't really find anything so I figured I'd just ask. Last night I bought the Open for Business EP with the H&M/Kitchen SP from the Origin store (which may have been my first mistake). I made back-ups of my existing neighborhoods and moved my CC to a separate folder.  Downloaded the game with no problems,

Ah, Origin. I had a similar problem where my 3 premade hoods were disappearing when installing a new EP from Origin. One thing I suggest you do is see where the new EP is installing to; it's probably installing to Program Files/Origin Games. If so, go into Settings and change it to Program Files/EA Games then redownload and reinstall. If that doesn't work, Google Sims 2 installation order and reinstall everything in that order. One of these should help, hopefully. Good luck!

Tried the first suggestion to no avail. Ended up uninstalling and then re-installing everything in release date order. That seems to have fixed it. Now I suppose the real test will be to see what happens when I add my back up neighborhood files back into the folder. Thanks for the suggestions! ^_^
