In the last few months, there where times when I felt overwhelmed to the degree you describe in your last paragraph.

We should be grateful for every day.
Every day is a new day.
All we can do is work one step at a time.

I've been working on continuous process improvement (look that one up on Wikipedia) in my life. We can't fix it all in a day, but making small changes is something we should be doing forever. I changed task systems more than 10 times in the last 6 months, and at some point, I wondered if I was changing for the sake of changing and never getting at the root of the problem. But one has finally stuck, and now I just need to tweak it in tiny ways, refine it, for the next million years. We'll never be perfect, and who would want to be?

Continuous process improvement, eh? Sounds like a worthy goal. And probably more attainable than my current goal of suddenly being organized and on time and clean and perfect and prepared.

Then you understand perfectly. :)

You are welcome in CA anytime. I have an entire guest bedroom with a new mattress.

I'm horribly sick, but I'll look at my calendar next week when I've got my life under control again.

Onoz! Well, I hope that your trip wasn't too dreadful. We found the car only after some aimless driving: there are two Bob's in the plaza--Bob's stores and Bob's Discount Furniture. :o)

Feel better soon!
