yeah, I liked the good psychic. XD especially since he didn't use his powers TOO much because he didn't see the need because he had everything he needed. that IMMEDIATELY made rosie and I look at each other and go "I LIKE HIM".

Read lots of Stephen King and Neil Gaiman. Both are very good. Some specific ones I'd recommend are Gaiman's American Gods and King's Insomnia, as well as his Dark Tower series.

Also, go read Jacqueline Carey! Her Kushiel's Legacy series is HOMG AWESOME, and it starts with Kushiel's Dart. Go read it now~

mmm, I love Stephen King. XD can't remember WHO said it, but it was something along the lines of "If you're going to read crap, at least read GOOD crap. Read Stephen King!" his horror stuff is awesome.

and I've actually got one of Gaiman's books out from the library. "Going Postal", I think? I haven't read it yet.

same thing with "Kushiel's Dart", although I actually own that.

Exactly. Plus, train and subway in is... oh, $15 a day, then food and shopping and me being a tool and drinking about $20 of starbucks a day (yes, I'm a caffiene freak). Cosplays just not in the cards for me. Not for AnimeBoston, or Otakon. Next year maybe though! *_*
