Part 1, hereOk, time for the next set of Bahamas photos! These ones start off when we got to the waterfront of downtown Nassau to catch a water taxi over to Atlantis. I didn't take too many pics from the boat on the ride there, because I didn't have an open window next to me, and didn't have much opportunity for good photo-ops, but I did take a ( Read more... )

That looks like so much fun! Gorgeous day, too.

Why won't you eat invertebrates?

It was a super pretty day! :D Thanks!

Ah, I just don't like them. XP With the exception of the occasional crab legs, I really don't like any invertebrates! They're gross. :(

omg the glass! It's by famous glass artist Dale Chihuly. Or it's a fake, idk, haha, but it's definitely his iconic style. He's awesome and TOTALLY BADASS LOOKING because he has an eyepatch.

Ah, you're right! I looked it up, and the clear colored one is called "Crystal Gate" and the red/orange is "Temple of the Sun". I also found out they're both insured for a million dollars each, as is the one I didn't take a picture of, "Temple of the Moon". :B

wow those glass things are crazy awesome, esp the temple of the sun one. you don't want that ever falling on you. nope X3

everything looks so nice and clean! i esp like the pics of the starfish and the captain.

i understand your feelings about invertebrates, although i do like shrimp. but sea cucumbers, sea snails, oysters, whatever it is that's inside a conch shell - sounds gross XD

They were pretty impressive, and quite large! I can imagine instant painful death, if not maiming, if one were to fall on you. XD;

I think the bright sun & pretty foliage helps it look nice. Everything was pretty colorful, too. :3

Ah, I don't even like shrimps. DX I like fish, and occasionally I'll eat crab legs (with loads of melted butter) but in general I just can't deal with the invertebrates. They've always got such weird consistency and often weird taste, too. :<

Oh, that sculpture is one of my favorite glass pieces! Your picture of it is really nice.

I think I'd try a conch salad...I think. XD

I like the coconuts too! I don't like the taste of them, but I love the smell of coconut anything, and I do love how the palms look.

Oh, which one? They were all pretty cool, and very huge!

Sometimes I almost wish I liked stuff like that, but it just makes me feel queasy when I do have some. DX

Hahhaa, I like to eat fresh coconut! If I lived far enough south to have them around I'm sure I'd try to snag some as often as possible. Even though they're super hard to crack open! (Need a machete! O: )
