My neighbours asked me if I wanted to dogsit for them lst night, as they were going to a Wild West-themed party. They also asked if I could drive them to the party. I said I could, and asked if I could use their car while I had the keys. "Sure", they said. So I drove them to the party and then drove to acropetal's place and picked her up, and took us both ( Read more... )

D'AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. HER SMILE. <3333333333 I love how you've captured some really, really catlike details there. Like the slightly paler area of hair around her eyes, the ways her toes curl and stuff. D'awwwwwwwwww:).

It's +31 in the shade here D: I put an ice-cold, wet towel on Noki today. She wasn't pleased, but I doubt she'd be pleased if she had a heatstroke, either...

Thank you! <3

Though I just now noticed that I missed a bit right below her nose that's supposed to be black. Ah, well, I can change that on the actual drawing, but I can't be bothered to photograph, transfer, adjust the image, and upload it again. ^^

I guess you're having the same weather we do, then. I'm actually more or less fine with hot weather -- I have much more trouble with cold and damp weather -- but I'm worried about the cat (and about my mother, who is almost 75 and can't really handle it well. I think I may have to buy her a ceiling fan.)

*cuddles kitty in picksure anyway*

And yeah, we've got the same crazy hot weather. I'm worried for the cat, myself. Every time I have to leave the flat I have to close the windows because I'm not here to keep an eye on her in case the idiot decides to jump or something stupid like that. And I've got a fan, but it isn't doing much. And I tend to sweat like crazy (which isn't helped by my current overweight, being in ketosis *and* taking amino acid supplements to help fat burning, which also make me sweat more)... *fills tub with ice cubes and jumps in*

I've secured the kitchen window with a piece of string, so that it can't be opened enough to let a cat through, and wedged it open with a piece of rolled-up corrugated cardboard, and I have the compost grid thing that I can secure in front of the balcony door, which I'm soooo happy about right now. It would be terrible to have to sleep with the balcony door closed in this heat. O.o

My bedroom window is kind of fucked though; I have to try and figure out a way to keep it open just a crack but no more. Rosa is thankfully not the exploring/escaping kind, but I wouldn't want to leave it open when I were asleep or away from home.

That's a really good drawing!!! :-)

Glad the anasthesia thing has passed - sounded horrid!

Hot here too... Way way too hot. Good thing I've got an exotic pet. ;-)

Yeah, she was OK by Thursday. The eye seems all right as well, so that's good.

We just had the most amazing thunderstorm!

So, you went to a quarry that was actually a quarry?

Yep! Not Gallifrey at all. Or any other alien planet.
