How amazing and exciting and downright awesome was this episode? I mean, it made me cry and gasp and bite my nails. You already know that I thought the episode was great. Naturally, I just loved the scenes with Mark Pellegrino because he was fantastic. All these domestic scenes with him looking like a perfectly normal guy and then he opens his mouth and it's just creepy; one time he compliments Sam ("Very good Sam") and that scene was great for the Sam and Lucifer talking at the same time alone, later he tells Sam to kill himself. And the end was such a cliff hanger!

I admit, I completely forgot about Castiel for a moment. I think you're right, he might be the vessel for the boss of the Leviathans and I would love it if he got back in the game somehow, but my hopes are rather slim at the moment. The scene in the lake looked like a gooey explosion to me. But perhaps he was only freeing the extra Leviathans he couldn't handle in his vessel.

And I completely agree on everything else you said :)

Mark really was awesome in this episode - he just pulls the role off so, so well (like all of the guest characters in SPN do - we're so lucky with this cast!)

I'm not sure about Castiel, I get your point about an explosion but I'm not sure it'd be in line with the show to have him die before he has a chance to redeem himself (they've usually given characters a chance to do that before, like with Balthazar.) It's all just theory at this point, though :D
