...so, I just wanted to say, you reminded me, I have a guy in one of my classes whose name is Nir - common Israeli name - but when our Chinese teacher pronounces it, it sounds EXACTLY like how they pronounce "Near" or whatever his name was in the series. Once I caught it, it became kind of hilarious.
