reading your bit about how quickly people enter and exit your life reminds me of a sequence from Fight Club where ed norton is talking about constantly travelling on business trips. he makes the comparison between single-serving packs of peanuts, single-serving salt and pepper, and single-serving friends who only stick around in the seat next to you for a few hours before they disappear forever.

and btw don't worry about the flying. you'll get where you need to go sure enough, since everyone gets treated like cattle. you'll be told what to do so much you'll probably be sick of it. i hope you get a window seat though, because one of the few redeeming things about air travel is getting to see the world from 10,000 feet. changes your whole perspective on stuff.

BWI to charlotte to memphis to atlanta to BWI, or something like that. It really doesn't matter what direction or what means it is, I'm only a bit worried that they'll strip search me or I'll need some sort of identification that I don't have, or some crap like that.
