Or rather, at least 9 of you can be saved. Season 1 of LJ Idol started with 9 contestants. It's only fitting that Season 11 should kick off the drive to the finish with 9

What happens if fewer than 9 are saved because of overlap between immunity, gatekeeper, and contestant only?

It's possible in theory. But I think the order of operations (Jury, Gatekeeper, Contestant Only) reduces the chances of that.

There is a possibility of a tie for the last spot or so. Not likely, but a possibility. But we know how to handle that. :D

This is an interesting thought, actually. I wonder what the possible results could be, with overlap. In theory, we could end up with a top 5

Thanks for mapping that out. That is exactly the situation I was thinking about, but was too lazy to do what you did. Since the contestant vote and gatekeeper vote are about the same thing, "the entries I like best," I wonder if the chance of some overlap is pretty good. Unless Gary is evil, as you say. Since that is already known, perhaps we should sacrifice a goat or something (probably cookies) to survive this. By sacrificing cookies, I mean, of course, eat them. The odd thing about sacrificing a goat to the gods is at best they got the smell of the BBQ but none of the good stuff. This would make me hungry and mad at mankind, not appeased. But then, I'm not a god -- just a guy with a keyboard.
