It's not the finale. But I'm getting rid of everybody.

Or rather, at least 9 of you can be saved. Season 1 of LJ Idol started with 9 contestants. It's only fitting that Season 11 should kick off the drive to the finish with 9

To be completely honest - the original plan for this season was to NOT have a Gatekeeper round.

But the closer we got to the end, and the more people started getting paranoid about it, the more I started considering it.

The last few weeks of reading entries though made me think there was a need for it - and that the quality of writing was worth asking folks for a favor.

Oh my good Lord.

I've never participated in a gatekeeper round, so I'm interested to see how this plays out. Will going outside of my normal box this week help or hurt? Will the glowing reviews that I left everyone (as Gary said, the quality of writing right now is just off-the-charts) influence the votes in any way? Only time will tell.

I basically had a heart attack when I saw this and I'm still nervous as all get out, but I'll pull it together here in about... A week?

I'm getting flashbacks to the "Anti-vote" for Second-Chance contestants earlier this season.

It's kind of a "Do A. Or 51."

Or maybe, in wondering whether this would be a Gatekeeper round or something else, I guess the answer was, "All of them!"

Wow. I just watched an episode of Dark, anyone else watch that? And it is crazy and involves time travel, and made my head hurt. And then I came here and wow, my head hurts even more!

On the one hand, I don’t like it because it is very stressful for me! On the other hand I appreciate the uniqueness of it, it’s a very creative way to jump idol into the top ten.

Netflix just recommended it to me, so I'm seriously considering giving it a try!

We're in the middle of Lucifer and The Travelers with our son, and he may join us for season 2 of Deadwind. But Dark might be next after that. \o?

Dark is sooooooooooooooo good! I haven't watched the third season at all yet (it's definitely a show that benefits from multiple watchings, I think, so hubby and I are planning on re-watching seasons 1 and 2 again before hitting season 3), but it's just incredibly well-done.
