I have come to peace on relinquishing my bolt to the finish. Thanks for the ride. Now, while all you are nipping at each others' heels in survival mode, picture me in a lounge chair under a palm tree in the shade, drinking a refreshing drink and watching the butterflies.
Ironically, two years ago I came in at 19th place, exactly where I am now. In writing my last piece I referred back to my Mars series., After rereading that, I vowed that I would spend some time adding to the story with the goal of finishing a complete book. Maybe next year I will be able to share some of that with you.
As to my rival, with whom I was neck and neck throughout the last three votes, Tonithegreat and I have determined that we actually have a lot in common. Maybe we would have tried to do the intersection.
You wrote some terrific stories this season, both fiction and non-fiction, and I especially enjoyed reading about your dad in your last entry. I hope he's doing all right, although I imagine he would think the question itself was silly. :)
