I just got my entry posted! Would have liked more time to edit and work on it, but between sickness, work, and family, wasn't sure whether I would have a chance to post if I waited any longer.

Also, I'm first? How novel!

Yay first! I hope you’re feeling better - being sick is no fun!

It's the second time this fall. Ugh!

I blame it on having a kid who spends 5 days a week at the public germ incubator.

My entry is done and I’m on page two of reading through entries - hoping to get another 8-10 read at lunch time. I’ve got some leftover homemade (not by me though) creamy potato cheese soup and the remainder of a sourdough bread bowl which I cut up into inch wide strips for dunking. Yum!

Oh yes, the reading part of things... I should probably get on that. Also the commenting part of things.

I need snacks. I already ate my pasta salad for lunch. Does not bode well for rest of the day.

Hey, less competition is never a problem for me. Although there are a couple of people on that "might bye out" list that I'm disappointed to see possibly go. I've already seen one person who was close to bying out post something this week if I remember correctly, though, so there's still hope!

I was honestly surprised I managed to write something and get it up when I did because my work schedule this week has been so hectic. I'm a tour guide and work long days (often over 8 hours) and then my travel time to and from work is a bit of a commute, especially at the moment because I'm not staying at my house so I have a longer ride, and I've been walking a lot to save money because every little bit is going to help with legal expenses.

Needless to say, I had a small window in which to write something this week, and I thankfully knocked something out in that time. But that's why I got my entry in so early.

I may be one of the people missing the deadline, but I still have a bye. It’s just too hectic for me, I didn’t remember the deadlines being this short. But I’ll try to push through... but I have to work today too. Sigh.

They seem surprisingly short to me as well.

I’m sure they always were this short, but my life (and probably yours) was just never this busy. It’s such a weird feeling now though.

That's the perspective I have. When I was heavily invested in playing before, I was an unemployed stay-at-home mom. Now I work full-time and have a court hearing coming up and still have my kids (when I'm able to see them at the moment, since I'm avoiding my house as much as possible because my husband is there basically all the time).
