It wasn't very unusual for Simon to answer a phone call, blanch, and sneak quietly out the door in the weeks since he'd returned from Ganon. He was fairly positive Kaito had caught him more than once, but before the older boy could stop him, Simon had disappeared into the shadows. He came back long after midnight, almost a zombie with exhaustion

Simon paced, slowly, quietly. He had no desire to fight the phantom thief. Hopefully, he wouldn't have to. There were enough people here take care of it who weren't him.

But still, sitting alone on the steps, he watches the others prepare, and slowly, for the building to shut down.

While the others are panicking over the lack of communication, Simon remains on the stairs, silently. His tiny presence is unnoticed by the others, and he wonders why he was even called here in the first place.
