She passed away in June. She had a tear in her intestine and develpoed peritonitis. I don't know how it happened, she may have swallowed something sharp. The Vet in town didn't know what was wrong with her and told me to wait the weekend but she was vomiting had not eaten anything in 5 days and I was really worried. I consulted an online vet and she said it sounded pretty serious so I took her to the Emergency Vet. They knew exactly what was wrong within a few minutes. She was in surgery within a few hours. I got her home a few days later and things were looking up. I had to force feed her and medicate her with a syringe. That was aweful because she would wretch and struggle when she tasted the medicine. Three days later I came home from work ready to medicate her again but I noticed her tongue was sticking out of her mouth. I called the vet and they told me to check her gums. Sometimes cats stick their tongues out when they are having trouble breathing. Her gums were grey, a sure sign she wasn't getting enough oxygen. I rushed her to

Wow Heidi. My heart goes out to you... I remember how it ripped me apart when I almost lost Romulus. Please always remember to celebrate Kitty's abundant life! She had so much of it with you, and her passing was only a brief interlude into a perfect world with God.
