Yeah, I've heard it was supposed to be Ianto. Makes me curious about how the series would have turned out had it been him instead of Owen.

I don't have a lot to say about these episodes, really, except I really like the whole Owen death arc. "Reset" is especially science-tastic, and I love the montage to "Feel Good, Inc" in the lab.

Also, I really liked the Gwen/Owen scene in the board room in "Dead Man Walking". It went a long way towards negating the ick factor of their relationship for most of season 1.

And it's suuuuuuper nerdy, I know, but I love that they have the "New Mayor, New Cardiff" newspaper clipping on the tourist office door still.

Owen's arc is pretty spectac. I didn't have much love for him in series 1, but series 2 did a lot for my opinion of him.
