full-season order to be announced tomorrow?

Oct 02, 2008 00:30

After the season premiere, the “Pushing Daisies” makers find out on October 2 if they’ll get a full season (they had a 13-episode order to start). They certainly hope so, Fuller said: “We want seconds on our pie.”

this was in the MTV blog post earlier but nobody read that far, i guess!

keep your eyes peeled tomorrow~

I think that's generally been the consensus for a lot of these returning shows that debuted last year: if they perform strongly, they'll probably be given full orders quite quickly because pickings are slim, if they stumble out of the gate, their chances aren't good to continue to survive after "blowing" a second chance.

But I wouldn't bet on an announcement. It could happen, if ratings are bananas good they might try to come right out and build on that momentum (fingers crossed), but the suits could just as easily string them along, and even if the show runners find out their fate tomorrow, it doesn't mean we will right away.

I'm way too excited. I'm pretty sure that they'll get a full-season order.
