[There's silence on the other end for a bit, and Yomiel seems to be slumped in his chair, his face expressionless. There's only the sound of tapping as he involuntarily taps his fingers against the wood of the chair.]

Yeah, revenge's pretty complicated. Too bad most people don't realize how complicated until they've gone through with it.

And I don't think anyone can have absolutely nothing. Close to it, sure, but there's always something left, even if it can't be seen clearly.

It seems so simple, and then everything turns out much more deeper than it first seems. Like staring into what you think is a shallow pool of water...

What can be left? Concepts of freedom and morality? Love? Hate?

Well, yeah. As long as someone can still feel, they can be punished. You said that the dead can't feel guilt-but why?

Why? Because they're dead. They have nothing to feel guilt with anymore.

I suppose I understand what you mean by that, but it would also be rather counterproductive to sacrifice the very thing you were seeking revenge for.

Obviously you haven't gone through anything like that. If a person really wants to seek revenge, they will do whatever it takes to seek that revenge, even if it means something bad will happen to them in the end.

Nope. You can target many people, and you can ally with others to achieve it. Doesn't matter.

[Sissel hears the broadcast both from his own SFC that he's playing with and from the other room. Quietly, he nudges his SFC over to the side of the room so it won't get stepped on, and pads over to the room Yomiel's in. He stares quietly for a moment, and then pads over to him, jumping up into his lap and settling down, purring softly.]

[Missile also heard that. He doesn't get all of what Yomiel's saying, but he does get that Sissel is upset over it and apparently Yomiel needs hugs time? So Missile is going to bounce over with Sissel, jump up too, and also settle in.

Sorry, Yomiel, your other housemate means well :(]

[So Yomiel is just sitting here, wallowing in his own self-misery when suddenly ANIMALS.]

[A slight smirk as Yomiel puts his usual cold mask on again. No use letting people see what he really felt about things.]

Oh, nothing. Just remembering things over and done with, that's all. Good to see you too, Izaya.

[He shrugs.] Guilty? I feel guilty? I'm not really feeling that at all- it's more of thinking about whether things would be different if I had taken a different path.

Are you really going to try and play it off like you weren't talking about something important? [Little sneer.] Nice to see you too..

[He tilts his head to the side- and it'd be comical if it weren't for the serious stare he was giving Yomiel.] Huh.

[Fine. He shrugs.] If you say so. But if Yomiel ever had any personal problems, I wouldn't mind helping him out~. Or at least talking to him. But it's good that you don't. I'd be so sad if you were upset.

[He frowns at that, folding his arms over each other. He doesn't like talking about his past. Even with people he likes.]

It's something that happened before I came here. And I'm not sure I want to explain it, because that would mean sharing everything that I'm trying to keep secret.

[Like the fact that he's just stuck in his four minutes between life and death due to the meteor inside of him.]

I appreciate the concern...but I don't think you would quite understand. It's very personal.
