The singer reminds him of Subaru in the way that he isn't just singing a song. He leaves his sweat on the stage, and a piece of him stays in the room long after the sound of the last notes have faded.

Maru doesn't really think he deserves to be on a stage with the other three, but, since they let him, he tries to feel it, too. He tries to let the songs run through his body, and sometimes he does. Sometimes he gets a little taste of what Subaru must always feel like.
