[Ran wakes to the sound of wood creaking and aluminum rattling around her. She's curled up in the back of a dark wooden car, at least, that's how it appears. She's not entirely sure what she's in, though it looks like some sort of amusement ride at Tropical Land, Ran can't be sure...]

[Shinichi had gone outside the wagon to check on the condition of the wheels. Seeing as he had been alone in the wagon for the past week, the last thing he had expected was to hear a voice calling his name. And a very familiar voice at that. He hastily runs back to the wagon and hoists himself up to look in the back.]

[Ran hears Shinichi's voice from behind her, and glances over her shoulder. He was dressed different than when she last saw him, but come to think of it, nothing was how she last remembered it.]

Shinichi!

[She then realizes that she's wearing skirts, and blushes a bit before pulling them all close and reversing her direction. She crawls on her hands and knees to where Shinichi was, and gives him a worried look.]

What is this place? What's going on?

...Ran? [For once Shinichi's expression reveals nothing other than complete shock.] When did- How did you get here? And what are you wearing?

[He hastily controls himself and holds out a hand to help her out of the wagon.]

We've been kidnapped. I don't fully understand this situation yet, but it seems the culprits wants us to believe that we are in America of the nineteenth century.

[Ran blushes, not quite sure how to take that last question. It's not like she asked to be in this cumbersome thing!] I-I could ask you the same thing!

[Ran holds her arms together, taking in her surroundings.] Nineteenth-century America..? Like from Gone With The Wind?

[Well, it's not like the average Japanese student studies American history extensively.]
