Naturally intrigued, I click on the window and in takes me to one.org, and even more intrigued, I figured I would do some further research. Turns out this thing is like a "global campaign to get rid of world poverty

for every person that dies, there is something like 2 people being born every day. most people that die from aids are suffering from the worst conditions in the world, ie poverty, hunger, horrible disease and the likes, so death is almost a blessing to them. not that im all for death, but ya know, if people start living more, then what will happen to the world? rampant overpopulation and disease. oh, people dont die from aids or poverty. i've never seen poverty claim someone's life before. and my face isnt smelly. i would have to guess you were boyt, because the insults are quite lame, but you spelled everything right, so that takes out the boyt guess. oh wait, i take that back, you spelled "you're" with a your. oh, and by the way, our world population is skyrocketing. yeah, i dunno how i can make your argument look any stupider, except for the fact that you're anonymous, so i cant really guarantee that you'll read this, but im sure you will to see my response, and i hope you dont respond at all to it, cause i've taken too much time

if a huge plague comes, then i guess theres two other horsemen following suit. and, i never actually said i think that aids shouldnt be cured, if someone wants to pour x-million dollars into it, go for it. it's kinda stupid, because you're contradicting yourself at this point. theres a lot of people on this planet with aids, and by eliminating that factor of life, you're going to have a lot more people living to a longer age, and more people on the planet = more overcrowding, something you obviously cant comprehend. also, i think you forgot about the poverty issue, because the reason for live8 was mainly to get rid of all poverty in the world. they know that finding a solution for aids is just a silly thought, because it would take a lot of money and a lot of time to do, so foolishly they think "well lets just make everyone on the same economic level." you know what happens if every poor family in the world suddenly gets the same amount of money as you and i? i bet you havent thought this one over yet. ill give you a hint though, it

I agree with all of your conclusions. But to not help someone else just because it might negatively affect yourself is just plain selfish. If you put yourself on the other side of the coin, looking at the people who don't have it as hard as you and looking at your friends dying every day, can you imagine someone not wanting to help bc their world wouldn't be as perfect (comparitively speaking) as it is now?
