Party Party Party

Well, no, not really, not yet, but that's what I feel like saying. My crackhead supervisor called this morning and said she is taking a vacation day. Life is good, yes! I am so distracted, it's not even funny. But I will do some real work in a few minutes. And I have been answering the phone when it rings, that kind of stuff. A whole bunch of bound ( Read more... )

since I now live so far away.. where are you going to the party?? a bookstore or a friend's house?? (remember I sued to live there.. I think the B&N was once the service merchandise... sigh.. those were the days haha)

I can't wait to hear more about your costume. I am going tonite to an indy bookstore to get my copy. I cannot wait. My partner and I will ahve to read it aloud so we can hear it together... which reminds me.. I know tehre are some camps out there who are waking their campers up an hr early to read to them by while the sunrises. which I think would be cool.

which lib are you at again? I loved it when Laura (HSSE) was out. Processing binding etc without someone breathing down my neck!

I'm in the CFS library (Consumer and Family Sciences), that little dippy one in Stone Hall. And I'm going to the B&N party out by the mall. When was it Service Merchandise? All I remember is there being nothing in particular there. I'm picking up the audiobook there, since my paper copy is coming to work and I won't get it until Monday.

I can't imagine that happening at a camp, but that would be so cool! I hadn't really thought about how this was in the summer, so many kids would be away.

If the costume looks halfway decent, I eventually will scan a picture. But "eventually" might be quite a while.

well I think service merchandise left right around when I was graduating hig.. say 1990 (altho it could have been earlier) then it was empty for so many yrs... there was a noble romans across the lot and a sizzler in the mall lot too. My granma would have dinner at sizzler on sat nites and then we would goto service merchandise. Sometimes I miss those times.

yeah I heard about the camp thing and I was all excited. I used to goto camp (and then I was a counselor) and I would have loved to have that happen. *isgh.. I think its kinda cool how they want to make it part of being at camp.

would love to see a picture. I still want to knit myself a weasley sweater.

Oh, I see, I got here for the first time in 1994. I do remember Service Merchandises though, in other places. Wonder whatever happened to the company.

I am still waiting for my mom to bring my costume tonight, so I can't be sure what it will look like, but it will be close enough for this go around.
