Ok, kids, here's an update:

I worked Saturday and Sunday---my first days back since my accident at work, and I have to say now that I overdid it. It did not seem so at the time, but in retrospect, I know I overestimated my ability to return to my normal routine. Why are they shuting down those establishments?

Ok, I intend to do some research on this topic myself, but here's what I've heard: the state of Indiana is carrying out raids on bars and private clubs---especially the latter, since they operate on a slightly different set of rules than bars and taverns accessible by the general public---that serve alcohol, and that may or may not offer "gambling" of one form or another (e.g., tip boards, betting pools, 50/50 raffles, and/or electronic gambling machines [Cherry Masters]). Now, what might be the reason for this? Could it be that the casino boat industry gave a lot of money to the Mitch Daniels gubernatorial campaign? That could be part of it ( ... )
