Almost Gone (for whom it may concern)

Mar 27, 2009 22:00

In a room in the Mansion, Tyelko is dead to the world. He's still breathing and seems well enough, unhurt, but while he no longer shivers he doesn't wake either. Lost somewhere in his own mind, somewhere between memories of dark and pain and fear and a yearning that is deeper than bone, blood, and heart for a place he knows is long gone and lost ( Read more... )

His wife is here. His wife will always be there. Since the night where it all went down, she's never left his side, not even to feed herself.

Right now, she's touching his face, crying a little.

She should never have let him go rest.

Fingon: ....I'm going to do something about that.

Somewhere, he does register her touch, and murmurs something, quietly, words of love and adoration. But he just can't quite escape it, can't quite find a way to wake.

She kisses his face, trying again, as she has so many times before. "Tyelkormo, please. Rouse, love. Live is worth living. Please."

T: Feel free to give it a shot, Fingon. She may resist more than you expect, though.

His face almost spasms, stirring in some quiet dream, one hand clenching into a fist, but it's a response, a sign of life, and that's something.

Caranthir probably left only a moment, to check on a brother, unless Faraday is now well enough to be left alone. Irisse let him in, and he's now sitting by his brother, looking at him worriedly.

FML doesn't quite cut it right now.

Faraday will be all right as long as she stays in his room where it smells like him. It's comforting. Seriously.

Breathing quiet and regular, he could just be sleeping, small frown on his face and almost entirely silent, almost eerily.

He's just there. Looking. God. Nothing could prepare him for that.

"Turko. Come on. You have a kid. Damn it."

Morgoth does really bad things to your brother, Moryo. Somewhere he register's Cara's voice, but it's just another twist in the dreams, a turn down the road to Doriath in fire and blood and watching his brothers fall, choking on his own blood.
