I love this, you know how much I love Sylvia! If I was the Doctor, I'd totally make her my companion!

I was working on a fic where Sylvia was for once on the TARDIS. Needs some polishin' though. But yes, Sylvia fo' life!

Yes! I do love Donna-Sylvia-mummy-daughter-bondin'. Their relationship is so messy and complicated but really so much more.

Also, my heart broke a little for Donna when she says that something's (or rather someone) is missing, sigh. And ohh Donna, please stop drinking :(

Oh, I know D; *hands tape for heart* I really didn't want to make Donna a borderline alcoholic, but she just sort of seems like it, doesn't she, what with getting hangovers and missing great big alien invasions xD I promise you, after this, she wouldn't dare do it again for the love her mummy <3
Thanks for reading+commenting! :D

But yeah, Sylvia has another side, and peeps need to give some credit to her for it. Though that's hard to do since she never really showed that other side and you can only really find it when you pay super close attention to the little things she does (or have read Beautiful Chaos, that one was a big pointer, heh)
Thanks a bunch! :)

You have actually made me like Sylvia, and I NEVER like Sylvia, and it really WAS Sylvia, you got her voice PERFECTLY. And the way she thought one thing and said another really resonated with me, it was just so right, she just can't do mushy, such a complex dynamic and really fitting as Donna's mother because it is kinda Donna too.
I was totally tearing up too. I love it when people don't duck out of owning the utter gutwrenching tragedy of Donna's fate, even when you throw Mr. Make-Do husband in the mix.
Absolutely BRILLIANT. Thank you for this.

I didn't like Sylvia all too much before. But eventually I did because hey, she's actually got some redeeming qualities that are really hard to get out of her, mostly because she shows it in her actions, less than her words. With actions it's a lot more subtle, which makes sense to do with someone like Sylvia, where words were never really her thing. The only time she did ever say something true to her feelings was the "She still is. She's my daughter" thing, and the Doctor calling her on that was of course offensive, cause maybe, I dunno, she's too scared to say it to Donna herself.
It'd be foolish to think that Donna could be made happy so easily, even with a hubby and lotto. *hugs Donna close* *hmm she's staring at me weird again...better stop*
And oh, thank you. ♥
