For a minute there, I thought you meant that you *went* to church and then proceeded to sleep through it (which I must confess I've done a few times in my life, lucky I don't snore).
Seriously if all that professor has to keep themselves busy is worrying about whether you are using the 'correct' email, they need to get themselves a wee bit of a real job. Probably don't write that back to them, though.
