[Word had begun to spread, and once Jadzia found out something had happened to Spock, she had gone on search of James. She had no doubt he'd be reeling from this.

The holodeck program was a surprise, but it shouldn't have been. Of course he would go somewhere familiar.

She headed over to him, deep concern in her expression. Judging by his body language, he was in a lot of emotional pain. She reached out to gently rub the back of his shoulders and place one bracing kiss the top of his head before taking a stool next to him.]

[ He looked up at her and was silent for a moment. Thankfully that numb sensational continued to grip his entire body. It was hard to feel... anything right now. Which was what he wanted. Kirk didn't want to feel. It hurt too much to feel right now. A slow nod to her after she spoke. ]

[ uhura knew what had happened. not that she had been privved to the information, but when jim had started cursing at the comms screen, there really had been no way that she could ignore that reaction. and right now she was stepping into the holodeck and over to where the other jim was sitting because there was one one less individual in this world that knew how james t. kirk reacted to things and what he needed in situations like this.

and one less individual to make sure that he didn't completely shutdown and shut everyone else out in the process.
