[Julian had finally replicated himself a meal and sat down at a table in the nearest mess hall to the infirmary. Truth be told, he didn't have much of an appetite, but he knew his body needed refueling and his short nap wouldn't be enough on its own ( Read more... )

[Julian was startled from his disturbing thoughts about crawling around in ventilation ducts by the arrival of Captain Kirk. He nodded to him somberly and then, deciding he also wanted another caffeine drink, got up and stood behind him, waiting for him to make his order.]

[ Kirk reached into the replicator and pulled out a red apple. He flipped it into the air once, caught it then grinned at him. A nod to the doctor before he was on his way out. ]

[ for the first time in weeks, ezri felt at home in her own head. no longer was she hovering in the background while curzon ranted, joran plotted, and tobin mumbled; no longer was she worried about falling into jadzia while around the wrong person and letting something she shouldn't slip about jadzia's death or her marriage to worf. and oh guardians, worf. she felt awful for doing that too him and needed to find him at some point to present him with an apology and an olive branch in the form of a cup of prune juice. but, that could be done later, right now she needed to get something in her stomach that wasn't just-- ]

[He looked down at the food he hadn't eaten but just pushed around his plate, and then sighed and stood up.]

I should be asking you that. What are you doing out of the infirmary?

[Yes, he was avoiding answering her, and focusing instead on her own wellbeing. He moved to her side, a gentle hand raised to touch her upper arm.]

I didn't escape, if that's what you're thinking. I'm Ezri -- just Ezri, thankfully. Doctor McCoy, the one from 2286, was able to realign my isoboramine levels using isoboramine from Emony. No more host confusion.

No, I didn't. That's because...well I'm not sure I did the right thing, but I don't think I did the wrong thing either. It's complicated. I...just had a bit of a row with Captain Kirk.

[ kira had been spending most of her time in sickbay, keeping an eye on dax when kirk or a doctor wasn't hovering, occasionally taking a walk around near the infirmary - it might look like ds9 but who's to say the cardassians hadn't changed something? plus, it wasn't ds9 - and she'd rather find an answer away from here than get herself comfortable

nevertheless, despite staying around the area kira doubted that the replicator in medical bay would give her something to eat that was worth trying. going to the nearest messhall kira replicated herself something small and quick, and was surprised, but happy, to see doctor bashir sat at one of the tables. taking her meal with her to him, she placed it on the table and sat across from him ]
