> IN WALKS DISASTER [ KIRA, OPEN ]

Jul 19, 2009 19:48

[ kira had a (quark-shaped) headache when she arrived, so she didn't think much of it intensifying a bit. that tended to happen when one was temporally kidnapped. thankfully she had her phaser with her and was roaming the halls with it. she'd already found out from a particularly helpful wall panel that this was shtel nor, a cardassian station ( Read more... )

[ cue surprised expression he couldn't see. she blinked once, then responded. ]

Captain, what's going on? I was just on the bridge of DS9 and then I found myself in some hallway here.

[ Jimena poked her head out from the room she was currently looking at to look at Kira. She'd gotten the idea in her head that she wanted to switch quarters and drag Deven along with her, so she was just flipping through the open rooms in the habitat ring, seeing if anything caught her eye when she heard someone mumbling. ]

Comms don't really work, unfortunately. I think it has something to do with actually being in subspace.

[ kira turned sharply, phaser pointed at the... human woman? that was the last thing she expected. cardassian, klingon, jem'hadar. definitely not human. unless she was a changeling, but not even that made sense. ]

In subspace. Right. And how exactly did I get in subspace? I wasn't even in a transporter, which is how these things usually happen!

Welcome to the wonderful world of temporal and spacial nexuses. The station's pulled a whole bunch of people from different universes and timelines, seemingly at random, and deposited us here-- in this Cardassian base that we believe to be floating in subspace in the Romulan Neutral Zone. There's even multiples of people here.

I'm Jim, by the way. Jimena T. Kirk, stardate 2258.45.

[ she was under the impression jim kirk was a man, but that was just her assuming, she supposed. she didn't remember with perfect clarity the pronouns people used in relation to his or her name. ]

Major Kira Nerys, 2372.98. You're honestly telling me I'm stranded in subspace with a Federation folk hero, and the station's the one that did it? [ she laughed a little. ] You expect me to believe that?

[Odo was having a harder time in the last hour, the strain of keeping his form wearing on him. He'd experimentally returned his hand to a liquid state (after much effort) and had struggled to return it back to solidity again. So, for now, he was going to keep himself the way he was until this whole stationwide problem was resolved.

He was stalking down the corridor, feeling an irritability that he could not completely hide. Hearing a familiar voice he went to investigate. It was Major Kira. But he could tell from her hair style that she was not the same one he'd met earlier.]

Major Kira!

[He hastened to her side, his gaze clocking the phaser she carried with her.]

[ she looked instantly relieved - but then again, he could be a changeling, the wrong changeling. her wariness returned and she didn't lower her phaser. ] What was the name of the tailor I killed during the Occupation?

His name was Vaatrik. And he was a chemist, not a tailor. But you and I both know that, Major.

[He eyed her carefully, making no move to step any closer.]

Did I pass your test, or are you going to keep waving your phaser at me?

[ she sighed and lowered the phaser, walking over. ]

It's good to see you, Odo. Any idea what's going on? The system's telling me we were rocketed about two-hundred years in the future, but by who?
