[Julian was due to meet Gaila on the promenade in a few minutes for lunch, but he paused on the walkway above, watching people walk by below. The station wasn't very populated and didn't have the same bustle that DS9 did, but he still liked to stroll the mezzanine.
He was rather looking forward to seeing Gaila again and spending time with her. Part of him was still wary, though, of reading anything more into it than just an attempt at forming a friendship. Still, he couldn't deny that she'd been very much in his thoughts the past few days.
Julian leaned on the railing, gazing down at the Promenade, contemplating whether he should push things in a romantic direction or if that would just scare her off. And then there was the sobering fact that she'd have to die all over again if they ever found a way back.
