Chewable Dramamine: like airport Valium, in a way. 8D (I've got Detroit on my itinerary for tomorrow too, so ... yeah. About the only thing going for it is that it isn't O'Hare? Not that I don't love O'Hare. When the weather is good. And I have the first, non-delayed flight of the day. And the bars are open.

Having been in and out of the Detroit airport many times, I can tell you that, truly, the ONLY thing it has going for it is the psychedelic fountain in the main terminal. If you are jet-lagged, that thing is HOURS of entertainment.

Also, Midway is quite possibly worse than O'Hare, when you're in the shitty Southwest terminal waiting for the last, delayed flight of the day and the bar wants to close and is trying to throw you out.

My folks are flying out of Detroit this evening too, hopefully. It's only supposed to rain, not snow, but the winds are really killer so I'll keep my fingers crossed for all of you holiday travelers.

Yes, fortunately it's supposed to stay above freezing for most of the day. So.....almost certainly a bumpy takeoff, but hopefully an on-time one.
