Oh God, oh God. I loved this, all the way through, sweet and funny and the tiniest bit scary, and just wonderful.
And then this:
“I don’t know what I’d do without you.” Her words, a dropped penny, stilled the air around them. And he realised, with a twinge of guilt and certain amount of pride, that after all this time, she was the stronger of them both.
“That makes two of us,” he whispered gently into her hair and he allowed her to pull him into her.
Just amazing.

LOVE THIS. Love it, love it!

Now, I need you to make me two things:

1. Please go back into your Alchemy Word Lab of Awesome and whip me up a batch of Cherry Varnished Need - gah, that color is so hard to find!

2. I need a t-shirt that says across the chest: Doctor, you’re freaking me out. No, but seriously, I really, really need one.

Please and thank you! :D

Thanks! U R so funny...

As for your requests:
1. I think any shade of red could do--it's the intention of need behind the hair ruffling that makes it better!
And 2. I'm sure you could design something suitable over @ zazzle.com or cafepress! This is one of my faves: www.cafepress.com/+womens_plus_size_vneck_tshirt,259511250

“I’m up here! It’s above me!”

His head jerked around to look up. “Oh, there you are! And it’s above you!”

“That’s what I said!”

“Oooh. Well, then, I’m sorry for this…”

Made me giggle.

As she stood, friction against her stockings whispered the secrets of the universe. But he already knew those. What he really wanted was the softness of her thighs where they met at the black edge of all possibility. Those were the only secrets that interested him.

That is so sexygorgeous.

Her translucent skin barely covered the purply-blue avenues in her arms that brought the flush of blood into her cheeks--blood he could see contained millions of tiny TARDIS boxes, flowing in her veins.

Whoa that's amazing imagery. Seriously, that is incredible.

“Me? Naw… would take more n’that to get rid of me,” he answered as glibly as his depleted body could allow. "You forget, Rose-my Timelord biology is-“

“Stop!” she ordered and his attempts at avoidance fell silent.

That made me tear up a little bit.

And he realised, with a twinge of guilt and ( ... )

I know, I'm the worst! I was cleaning last night and found the whole handwritten pile of it, so that's a start, lol. I'm going to get on that.

This was rather marvelous. Loved the psychedelic aspect of the latter third part of the story, making it feel like we were in another realm of science fiction altogether (or induced with a very high-fever), and the use of the pictures, in particular the third one was just, ahem, very well done.

And Rose saving the day is always a great one in my book, particularly this last bit:

And he realised, with a twinge of guilt and certain amount of pride, that after all this time, she was the stronger of them both.

was absolutely beautiful and, for me, completely honest. The Doctor might be stronger in some respects but Rose absolutely has that hidden strength that, sometimes, he forgets/takes for granted.

Loved it.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked his hallucinations. I wanted them to get progressively freakier (as the prompt suggested). I also wanted to show hints that the storm was coming despite his buried desire for her--also to play off her fears in the larger story and show that she was the one really in danger and not him.

And yes, Rose saving the day is always awesome! I'm a sucker for it, too! :)

Thanks for the lovely comment!
