The Anniversary of Nothing. TenII/Rose, all ages.
(Because I told myself I would write fluff, and because this is the only picture yet to be used. ;) Featuring
audio, because I recently discovered how easy making recordings is, because poetry is beautiful spoken, and because that might be the kind of thing you're into.)
Her nervous system spins like a dizzy child,
skin exhalting
and its like being dropped into
light clean sugary
soda pop
The water is warm,
she gasps out sing song bubbles
and peeks her eyes open to see his
skin so equally alive
little leg hairs catching pockets
of air
desperate to see the surface
but not parting company
They
touch
cells familiar and so
so slick,
laughter is just another wave
in this great body
movement like whale skin
fingertips memorizing
the impossible spine
She makes fish faces and his smile
could swallow the earth
(this earth)
and he ghosts fingertips along her
magnificent being
and there is no double
drumbeat
holding
their
lungs
down
they surface
to the cacophany of crickets
and the waist deep vibration of a
distant zeppelin
together
naked and bold
they snuck in at intermission
with all the smokers looking
at their watches, time
pieces
inadequate for counting stories
run and shag and
discover new jams and
most importantly
skinny dip like ethereal fish,
on this, the anniversary
of absolutely nothing
