Very nice and bittersweet with a hopeful ending.

Nice :) I much prefer the more realistic "it takes work" stories of TenII/Rose than the rose tinted "it's all instantly perfect" variety.

First thought... mental image of a scruffy looking, backpack bearing, jeans-n-hoodie wearing TenToo, standing in a doorway...

Really difficult to get past that, at the mo... give me a minute...

Okay, second thought... I can absolutely buy into the idea that TenToo would run. And that he would come back because he is Ten and she's Rose. And good on her for making him walk on hot coals for a bit!

I really, really liked this. They would have a lot to deal with and I can see the Doctor freaking out and running because the is what the Doctor does. And Rose forgives him because that is what she does. No matter where they are they are still the Doctor and Rose and I like the hopeful feel this fic left off with, the idea that it will take work but they can make it.
