As much as I love and subscribe to the idea that Ten and TenII are the same man except for a few biological differences, I adore fics where they try to differentiate themselves. It's easiest for Rose to accept that they're the same man, but it must drive the Doctor nuts from time to time. There's so much weight in that statement, and I think you drove home his worry and sadness just perfectly. :)

I think they are the same person biologically and mentally, but I think there are different feelings and emotions that each carry differently.
