things as I think them

Still not on fire. Yay. Though, it's hot, and I'd like to open the windows, but I can't because of all the smoke. Wait, I have no right to complain, as I have not been evacuated like 1 million other people here in dry, smokey SoCal, nor am I in danger of being on fire at the present time. So, never mind ( Read more... )

I would give anything to be fannish about the same show as you again. Just sayin'.

Oh! and I seriously need to catch up on Pushing Daisies and Chuck because both are fun.

Also, I randomly caught the Ghost Hunters at Henson ep a few weeks back. Kinda cracked me up a lot.

Yes, watch Pushing Daisies, we can be fannish about that together.

Heh. It made me laugh, too. Though, they missed out on some of the better stories. And didn't go into Polis's haunted office -- which will always make me laugh. "Don't you want the bigger office?" "No, it's haunted." "But it's only like 15 feet away from your office." "It's haunted." "... okay."

Dude, N should come to the shelter sometime. Then she'll know from haunted, yo. The worst is definitely the little girl who plays hopscotch behind the kitchen in the middle of the night. She has no. eyes.

I loved the first ep of Pushing Daisies but for whatever reason haven't watched the last two. I'll remedy that tonight I think.

I'm so glad you're not on fire. Sadly, I have no fannish love this season. As scattered as things are right now I need a really hard hook to reel me in. Woe. And since my current fandom is on my tits at the moment, I'm clinging to Jekyll like a drowning woman.

Now, Oppress! Oppress like the wind!

It's the dreaded downtime, when fandom has to be extra batshit to make up for the fact that it doesn't have anything better to do. The hiatus year is going to suck like a hoover.

I'm clinging to Jekyll like a drowning woman.

Jekyll totally surprised me, which, maybe it shouldn't have, but it really did. I put off watching it for a long time, and the flist seemed mostly ambivalent about it, but then the roommate figured we should watch it, and ... my flist failed me! In large part they failed to tell me Gina Bellman was in it and that she was completely awesome. Everybody talked about how great Nesbitt was, but I had no real reference for him, as I think the only thing I remember him from was the creepy journalist guy in Touching Evil. Gina Bellman ... oh, flist.

Now, Oppress! Oppress like the wind!
*oppresses with joy!*

*blanches*

I had the same reaction to Jekyll which was basically Nebsitt who? And *yawn* Then...then! I was horse-tied and forced to watch the first four eps back-to-back. Oh my....

(I'm vaguely ashamed at how often I've watched the basement scene with Hyde and Claire. Talk about chemistry!)

Oh god, yes. And the bit when he's getting her and the kids out of the lab -- "I'm a psychopath with superpowers, and you're my girl."

I didn't like Quantum Leap, either. And ITA about Bionic Woman.

Oh, hooray! I'm not alone. Bleh. The only thing even remotely likeable about about QL was Dean Stockwell, and that wasn't enough to keep me watching every week.

Definietly not alone. *shivers at the thought of being forced to watch that*

And Journeyman is like Quantum Leap without Dean Stockwell and which makes Journeyman the more confusing and less interesting version of Quantum Leap... which cannot be good.

Also, when I see it I think about Rome which was much better.

duuuuuuude, you're a bears fan? I had a 1969 baseball with the entire teams' names on it. It's pretty heady stuff for a 4 year old to walk around from player to player on a fan open house, and ask them for their autograph. Naturally, I can't remember much beyond the faces bending down, and how big the ball seemed, but I was in Bears' stadium. Since it was before my mom married when I was 4.5 [when we moved to the springs] I'm thinkin' that was the year... you want history? Check the wiki Denver Bears page... )

Going to Bears (later Zephyrs) games was the only time I really got to go to Mile High -- who could afford/get Broncos tickets?

the rocks have swept not one but two playoff series...

and we ain't got a chance? WTFever...

For some reason, just because nobody outside Colorado was paying attention to them, everybody seems to think the Rockies fluked their way into the playoffs. For the love of mike, who goes 21-1? Nobody, that's who. Except these guys. It's just amazing to see.

hopefully the sea breezes will kick in and the s'ana's will go away.

I felt the weather change this morning at about 2:30 -- the winds died down, and then shifted from the west, feeling much cooler and with definite moisture. It's pretty warm here today, but the humidity is up. Good news for the fire guys.

and? now I've got a little birdhouse in my soul, so just for that I'm gonna infect you with "Don't Worry... Be Happy... don't worry, be happy now, doooooo, dut, doo, doot, doot, doobedooo...
